Les Ormes CC had the honour of hosting two Australian sides through Exotic Cricket Tours for a couple of midweek matches.

For all involved it was a very special couple of days, with the matches played in great spirits, and the time spent off the pitch filled with new friends and laughs.

The Aussies had the win on Tuesday, with some excellent batting and very tight bowling.
Wednesday's match was a little closer, with the Les Ormes managing to get up, with our esteemed President Wayne putting on a masterclass with the bat.

The tourists are on a 10 match, 1 month tour around England, France and Spain. We wish them all the best and hope to have another chance to host them in the future.

In preparation for the 30th Anniversary of Les Ormes Cricket Club next year, we've been giving our clubhouse a makeover during the last few sunny days of autumn. A smart look in club colours for 2026! After an action packed season this year, we look forward to hosting just as many of you next year.

Over the weekend Les Ormes CC had the pleasure of hosting our good friends The Village Free House Cricket Club. A now almost permanent fixture on the calendar, the competition was only matched by the comradery between the players.

A Friday evening game of 100, followed by a few quiet beers 🫣🤫, led into Saturday's 40 over a side match. Les Ormes came away with the win to secure the weekend victory and reclaim the title we lost last year!

Saturday evening was spent by the new pavilion enjoying a BBQ together, then another 1 or 2 quiet beverages at the Les Ormes pub .

The weekend was bookended by a T20 on Sunday, with Les Ormes scrapping by with only about 30 balls left 😉

We are looking forward to hosting The Village again next year, and to showing more touring sides the joys of playing at Les Ormes Cricket Club

It was a great day of cricket against our friends from Nantes. Thanks for making the trip up with such a strong team, including 2 former French National Team players.. they played well and deserved the win

We had the pleasure of hosting The Broken XI today at Les Ormes.

What can we say other than they are a really lovely bunch of guys who played the day in great spirits.

We squeezed out the win, but certainly we were just happy to be back out on the pitch.

Thanks to TBXICC players and their families for making the trip over. We hope to see you again in the coming years

A new touring side for us, and a team started up to aid people suffering from mental health issues amongst other things, to get back into a sport, and to enjoy the camaraderie of being in a team environment once again.
