One of my VIP clients Billy is absolutely killing it.

This guy has achieved so much in gaming, including attending the Call of Duty World Championships in LA to represent Australia. Still...like so many gamers he lacked confidence and self belief in himself to change his body and go to the gym.

It took 4 months to build his confidence and get him to sign up to the gym.

But now the results are starting to speak for themselves.

So I was stupid not to give myself a proper introduction in the first episode of my podcast.

In this episode I cover a little about my history in Esports and my battle with weight loss while at the peak of my powers as the head of Mindfreak.

I also talk about the need to surround yourself with positivity and people who will bring the best out of you.

If there is one thing us gamers can do well, it's unite together for a common goal and crush all before us!

We love being a part of clans, communities, teams and groups. And it's my mission to unite gamers with the passion of getting in the best shape of their lives and bettering their lives.

I was one of those overweight and unhappy gamers. I've gone on the search for gamers who went through and are still going through similar battles that I went through.

My new podcast series is designed to bring them to light, and to inspire and motivate fellow gamers to take action.

Last week at the Call of Duty World Championships.

This was the biggest event in Call of Duty history with a $2,000,000 prize pool and a packed house in attendance at the Forum in LA.

I was lucky enough to be there with Australian champions Mindfreak who I founded back in 2010 and am obviously still close with.

It was a great event and it's amazing to see the growth of Call of Duty as an Esport.

It's also amazing to see some of the footage of the top players training with well known strength & conditioning coaches to improve their body and mind. Increase their ability to handle stress and sharpen up their reflexes.

I've always maintained that a healthy body and mind will make you better as a gamer!

Will be interesting to see how serious teams and players take it in the future.

The number 1 issue gamers have reaching their fat loss goals is "dieting".

Over the last few days I've been polling facebook groups, clients and gamers on Twitter. And it seems to be the number 1 reason behind most people not being able to make a start!

Why?

Most of the time it's because:

- They are confused by too much information on the internet
- They are intimidated by complicated diets
- The diet is too hard for them to sustain
- They can't give up the foods they love

No one said life is meant to be easy....but no one said it has to be so hard either.

So why do people make "dieting" so hard. Make it simple and make it work for you.

Do these 4 things before you even worry about the small details:

- Become aware of what you are eating
- Eat slowly
- Stop at 80% full
- Drink 2-3L of water per day

Dominate the basics and you'll begin to dominate your diet.

Keep calm and keep it simple!

You as the opponent have to call bu****it on their call or let is slide.

For some reason it reminded me of the myths and lies that float around the fitness industry about dieting and training.
