DAMAZAN Vs Eliac CC
1/6/25 at Eliac ground
DAMAZAN again wonthe toss and sent Moby and Rehman to open their innings. Rehman returned to base quickly for 4 runs but Moby as usual played a quic knock of 28.Shazeb and Dalim further taking DAMAZAN to 131 for 3. Dalim was unlucky run out for 42 runs. Shazeb was unstoppable with Redwan 11 and Hyat 15 not out, took the score to 227. Shazeb's commanding 102 was a great century of the day.
Eliac started their account with a great knock by young Ansar 52, however they suffered important losses of ArmanAli 0 and star of Eymet match Qasim Ali 0 again. Skipper Mian Bilal made all the difference scoring a sheet anchor innings of 42 and taking the Eliac score to 202 for 8 not forgetting Taj who scored vital 31 runs with five sixes.
It was very interesting match with winning hopes shifting many times . Eymet players were curiously waiting for the result. Right after in the hasty calculations, DAMAZAN was declared winners. But only hidden errors was Eymet finished the match in 13 overs and not in 15 as considered by Umpires. Whatever the law of averages is bizzare. If DAMAZAN would have bowled 6 balls more they would have topped the average. But Ali of Eymet changed everything. He scored 30 runs from 13 th over of DAMAZAN bowler's worst over. The Accso experts revised the result in the favour of deserving Eymet. DAMAZAN despite scoring 436 runs was latter declared out of 20/20 compitition. Many Cheers for exciting cricket. 2nd match at Eliac CC
DAMAZAN vs EYMET
What a day of brilliant cricket it was.
DAMAZAN arrived after travelling.
Unexpected news greeted us as Eliac had defeated Eymet in a 15 overs match. Eymet had reportedly arrived late, giving umpires to cut the match to 15 overs each side. Eymet scored 164 runs with a 41 not out from Adnan Mohammad Parneet Singh 32, Ali Khan 29. However Eliac finished the job in 12.5 overs with Qasim Ali 83 not out , Haider not out 23 and sheet anchor innings by Choudary Mian Bilal of 15. Eliac took only 12.5 overs to finish the job. Indeed an impressive victory for Eliac it seemed in the beginning.
2nd match. DAMAZAN vs EYMET
Gagan won the toss and elected to bat, opening himself with Firebrand Moby. Gagan being perceived a strategic threat by Eymet was some how given lbw on the last ball of first over. However Moby kept the score mounting like a rocket to 35 as again Hyat was out just for 5 runs. Shazeb joined Moby and scores kept mounting faster than before. Shazeb was out for 29 with total at 107. Ridwan and dangerous Dalim also quickly returning to their base. Moby was out after a solid quickfire knock of 65 with 7 sixers and a few boundaries. The surprise packet of DAMAZAN war Hashmat Aminzada whose electrifying 55 not out took DAMAZAN to an invincible total of 209.
DAMAZAN took the field with peaking hope of third consecutive victory against Eymet but Eymet made their intentions clear with a smashing first over of 25 runs.However Gagan clean bowled Parneet 18.
The new comer, skipper Owais Mohammad kept the agression going and along with Imran demolished the bowling of DAMAZAN. Imran 90 needs a special mention for snatching a handsome victory for Eymet. Owais 28 and Adnan 16 not out were great support to beligerant Imran. Ali Khan scored 28 runs in 13th over to mesmerize the net run rate calculations in their favour. Eymet really deserve congratulations for an outstanding victory, I had not seen in my cricketing carrier. Three cheers for Eymet Imran and Ali.

MATCH REPORT 25/5/25.
2nd League match Damazan vs Eymet at Damazan, Camping Lake.
Damazan Captain Shiraz Ahmed Moby won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Shazeb and Hyatullah were sent in to take a careful start. Unfortunately a low delivery of Imran bowled Shazeb with just 11 runs on board. Redwan after a good start, put his leg before at 25. Hyat and Skipper Moby carried the score to 51 with Hyat scoring two six’s. Moby was bowled by Remat for 12. Hyat was also bowled by Rehmat for highest score of the innings , just 26 runs.
Rehman resisted carefully but not for long.
Ritchie was run out for nothing.
However Hashmat played a brave knock of 17 .
Hamza, Manan and Akhtar also were out cheaply except a very intelligent knock by, 15 years old, A***n Singh.. not out with 10 valuable runs. The total added upto 122 runs for Damazan setting up a very easy target of 123 for a very talented team like Eymet with batsmen like Choudhry Adnan, Owais, Imran, Asad and today supported by special appearances of experienced seniors like David Horlock and Nigel Jones.
Honestly it was a humiliating catastrophe for Eymet all out for just 66 runs.
Except Adnan 18, none of the Eymet players got into double digits.
The consequences were apparent with Hyat and Rehman bowling a good length and line. The nightmare started in 3rd over when Rehman sent Shehzad back to dressing room without scoring.
Assad also returned quickly and the big wicket came when Akhtar bowled 4th delivery of his first over. Adnan hit him hard but young A***n came right under and took a brilliant catch at extra cover boundary. Akhtar struck thrice today also taking Imran ct by Redwan and owais brilliantly caught by Hyat.
Eymet were 47 for 8 while Damazan sure of their third consecutive victory in Blevins Frank south west league, relaxed. As an encouragement to nice batting and two brilliant catches by A***n Singh was inducted in the bowling attack. First over being maiden, A***n cleaned the Eymet tail with 2 wickets for just six runs in his 2nd over.
An impressive performance indeed at just 15 years and one month.
Damazan fought cohesively under the captaincy of Moby and turned the day in their favour. The unity and passionate urge to win the match gave them a hope to lead their pool if they win one more match from remaining 3.

MATCH REPORT: DAMAZAN CC VS ELIAC CC 18/5/25 at DAMAZAN LAKE GROUND.
DCC won the toss and elected to bat in a 40 overs match. DCC opener Redwan was bowled first ball and Moby after a few flying hits. Manan also went back to dressing room but Gagan and Shazeb handled Eliac bowlers well with good 60 runs partnership. DAMAZAN lost wickets quickly after Gagan 38 and Shazeb 39 parted but some quality batting by Hyatullah 33 and Hashmat 25 made the total 209 look respectable.
Eliac started bad with Hyder and Ansar, out quickly by Gagan & Rehman. Skipper Mian Bilal and. Qasim Hassan played good cricket with a long partnership. But after the demise of these two 37& 64 , match became open for both teams. However none of Eliac batsmen could demonstrate any value as Akhtar struck four times . Eliac once again looked dangerously closing in on the target when Ramiz Ahmed played some quick shots advancing the total towards the target. Luckily Rehman was brought back into the attack and cleaned up Raza and Amrit in the same over. Ramiz remained not out with 27. DAMAZAN wkeeper Mobie behind the wickets did an excellent job taking a few good catches on a long hot day. It was a good match with seniors Jean Claude and Irfan Ahmed scoring in the box. The Umpiring was top class by Eliac team Incharge and coach. Thanks to John for making the ground so wonderful. Sheila and Suzie for Rice, Chana masala curry, Cucumber Raita & refreshing Tea's.
