Un grand merci à toutes celles et ceux qui ont contribué au succès de la Ski Lodge Summer Fest ! 🥳☀️

Grâce à vous, nous avons récolté une belle somme pendant cette journée. Nous avons ensuite doublé la mise pour atteindre un total de 1 500 € reversé à L'Œuvre des Pupilles ! 🚒❤️‍🔥
Ce don les aidera à continuer d'accompagner les familles de sapeurs-pompiers disparus. 🙏

Un clin d'œil tout particulier au Le Farçon pour son aide précieuse avec le toboggan aquatique 🌊💦, ainsi qu'au Le Montana Hotel pour le prêt de leur grand barbecue 🍖🔥.

Merci également à tous les musiciens d'avoir joué les prolongations 🎸🎶, et à Fernando pour la fourniture du matériel et la gestion du son 🎛️🔊

It's September!!! It really is time to get that ski holiday booked if you haven't already...

lifts (with our swanky new seated gondola cabins) open on 5 December and with a record breaking El Niño effect late season skiing could be epic (and an early Easter should prove popular - Good Friday is on 26 March).

La Tania lifts close on 11 April with 1850 open until 18 April 2027.

Hôtel Byblos des Neiges is no more...

It had a prime site next to the first Jardin Alpin gondola mid-station in the heart of Courchevel 1850 Palace Hotel land (its opposite Les Airelles and The Rosewood).

Although not trading under that name since 2007 it became Palace des Neiges after a legal dispute regarding who owned parts of the property.

It is now becoming Monte-Carlo One, another ultra luxury hotel with a massive €100m redevelopment including additional storeys, 50 suites (down from 80 so much bigger rooms), a major Spa development and a Jimmy'z Monte-Carlo night club!

Yes, this is owned by SBM group - the company behind the Hôtel de Paris, Hermitage, Monte-Carlo Bay and Casino de Monte-Carlo. They spent a reported €125m on the purchase before the €100m refurb...

Despite the sign saying opening for "Season 2027" we understand that now means December 2027 (aka Winter Season 2028).

Meanwhile the sister hotel Le Byblos Saint-Tropez is still operating.

One other story... There’s also a fascinating Alain Ducasse connection to the opening of Byblos des Neiges: four months before it opened, the hotel’s director Claude Marret and Ducasse were flying to Courchevel for a construction meeting when their aircraft crashed. Ducasse was the sole survivor.
