Paul and Jack have just departed Tall Trees. The last time Jack was here, he was at school, and has returned as a young man, breaking his PB twice during the week. The first was a 32 and the 2nd a 33lb 6oz. Dad Paul, was not to be outdone, and had a 42lb Common - a PB for him too. A good week - 14 fish in total, the largest being Paul's 42lb Common, 4 fish in the 30s and the rest were all good 20s and a couple of teens. The temperatures were very hot right up until the middle of the week, but it has now cooled off quite significantly. Very happy as the lakes are still fishing very well. Nice to see you both again.

Andy and Owen Gardner - The Little Carper were on Tall Trees. They had a great week. 25 fish in total. The best one of the week went to Owen with a 38lb 6oz Common. 8 other 30s were caught between them and a good number of mid to upper 20s. Although not a PB for Owen, he had never caught a 30 before, so he more than achieved that - well done!!

Their friends Martin and Roody were fishing The Orchard. They managed a similar number of fish and both PBd. 4 fish were in the 30s, the rest in their 20s. A lovely first french fishing trip for them both. (awaiting photos).

All in all, a fabulous weeks fishing, particularly taking into account the ridiculous hot weather which reached 39 degrees at one point.

On The Orchard last week we had Ian fishing on his own, mostly from midday through till dusk. He had 12 fish in total, including a PB of 34lb 12oz. Most of the rest were mid to upper 20's and a 31lb 8oz M. Not a bad haul considering the hours on the bank and the very hot weather, well done Ian.

Mike - aka Uncy - with his son Adam and cousin Taylan here on The Orchard, for their very first taste of a French adventure. What a week it was, despite the outrageously hot temperatures!!

They all PB'd, which is fantastic for them.

Adam had the biggest fish of the week, and also caught the most. His last fish of the week was our Mirror Koi cross, known as Tango. He had a 41lb 10oz - to which Adam asked if he could name it. It now has the prize title of "ADAM'S MIRROR" :).

Steve and Malcolm were here on a return trip to The Orchard. Steve PB'd with a 36lb Mirror. They also had a 31M, 22M, 20M, 25M, 30M, 23M, 25M, 23M, 29lb 8oz M, 25M, 33M, 27M and a 22M. All in all a good week's fishing. Well done.

We had a party of 4 fishing Tall Trees and Oaks. Simon and Gordon on Tall Trees. They had a 41lb Common, a PB for Simon. A 32M, 31M, 22M, 28M, 32M, 22 Grassy, 21M, 32M, plus a few stockies. On Oaks, David and Allen both had a PB - Alan with a 39lb 13oz Mirror and David with a 35lb 13oz Mirror. In addition they caught 20M, 24M, 27lb 9oz M, 23lb 13oz M plus a few stockies. Well done all of you on our PBs. Not a bad weeks fishing following spawning.

A tricky one down at L'Ecurie, where winter re-appeared once again. More northerly, winds, rain and even a bit of hail. Neil had a PB though at 37M, along with a 35 11oz M, 32C, 28M and 19 14oz M. Simon, who was fishing here and also in France for the first time, also had a PB with a 33C and then a 32M and 27M. He did so well in the conditions and they will all be back next year for another crack.

What a great week for Ian and Gordon on The Orchard. It started off well for the first few days. We were then dealt an orange flood warning which resulted in 4 inches of rain in 24 hours, which ultimately killed things on the fishing front for 2 days. However, the last 2 days turned up some real beauties, including a stunning !!!!!! 40LB 15OZ MIRROR !!!!!!.

So all in all, they caught 16 carp in total - 40lb 15oz M, 38M, 32 5oz M, 32M, 21 11oz M, 26 10oz C, 28 21oz M, 28 8oz M, 24 4oz M, 25 7oz C, 24 4oz C, 27M, 29 4oz C, 29 8oz M, 22 5oz M, 24M

Great angling, well done. Congratulations on the 40. See you next year.

A lovely welcome back to Mark and Lee, who have been visiting us for over 10 years now. They gave Oaks a crack. The fishing very much mirrored Tall Trees, with cold NE winds. Anyway, they had 5, and they worked very, very hard, so well done to both of you. A 33M, 26 8oz M, 26M, 24 8oz M, 22C and a few stockies. Well done for persevering under harsh conditions.
