A tricky one down at L'Ecurie, where winter re-appeared once again. More northerly, winds, rain and even a bit of hail. Neil had a PB though at 37M, along with a 35 11oz M, 32C, 28M and 19 14oz M. Simon, who was fishing here and also in France for the first time, also had a PB with a 33C and then a 32M and 27M. He did so well in the conditions and they will all be back next year for another crack.

What a great week for Ian and Gordon on The Orchard. It started off well for the first few days. We were then dealt an orange flood warning which resulted in 4 inches of rain in 24 hours, which ultimately killed things on the fishing front for 2 days. However, the last 2 days turned up some real beauties, including a stunning !!!!!! 40LB 15OZ MIRROR !!!!!!.

So all in all, they caught 16 carp in total - 40lb 15oz M, 38M, 32 5oz M, 32M, 21 11oz M, 26 10oz C, 28 21oz M, 28 8oz M, 24 4oz M, 25 7oz C, 24 4oz C, 27M, 29 4oz C, 29 8oz M, 22 5oz M, 24M

Great angling, well done. Congratulations on the 40. See you next year.

A lovely welcome back to Mark and Lee, who have been visiting us for over 10 years now. They gave Oaks a crack. The fishing very much mirrored Tall Trees, with cold NE winds. Anyway, they had 5, and they worked very, very hard, so well done to both of you. A 33M, 26 8oz M, 26M, 24 8oz M, 22C and a few stockies. Well done for persevering under harsh conditions.

Les and Martin with us this week on a return trip to Tall Trees. It was a slow week, we think down to the north easterly winds we've had. Also, we then ended up with the Carp spawning, which we weren't really expecting considering the water temperatures. But, Carp will do whatever they will do. However, they worked hard all week and managed to winkle out 5. Martin claimed a PB with a 42lb 12oz COMMON. Well done Martin. There was also a 36lb Mirror, a 26lb Grass Carp plus a beautiful looking 26lb scaley mirror, and also a 23lb Mirror. A massive congratulations to you both under very difficult circumstances.

Chris and Mark returning once again to fish Tall Trees. It was a very slow week on the lake. Just 5 fish actually landed, with a few 30's. Chris brought along his son Ash, who had bit of fun on Nick's lake (our stock pond) and managed a fair of our babies.

Tall Trees had it's first guests of the season. Doug, who has been a few times before, and Chris for his first visit to us. There was a total of 12 Carp over 20lb and 3 mid to lower doubles. 5 Carp were over 30lb up to 34lb 4oz, 4 of the rest were just shy of the 30lb mark. The remainder were mid to upper 20s.

A great week for Doug and Chris, particularly considering the weather conditions. Very well done, and we look forward to seeing you again next time.

Hello everyone, we kicked off the 2026 season last Saturday, and it feels brilliant to welcome back anglers to L'Ecurie. Looking forward to a cracking season.

Stuart and Faye returned to us for their first crack at The Orchard. Despite the cold northerly wind, they banked 14 fish with Faye claiming the largest at 36lb, together with 28lb, 2 x 27lb, 25lb and 2 x 21lb. Stuart had a 34lb, 33lb, 30lb, 29lb and 3 x 26lb. Probably a long journey home for Stuart with Faye claiming top rod.😁

Brilliant week for both of you, well done.

Jason on yet another trip to us, along with his sister Michelle looking after them, and her husband Ian fishing days. We shouldn't forget a special mention to Rolo the cutie Cockerpoo who kept us entertained all week. A slowish week, but they still managed 11 up to just shy of 35lbs. See you all again next year.

Tall Trees - Terry and Ian joined us once again. Just awaiting some photos, so we'll get back to you on that one.
