Jib snowboarding is an independent snowboard school operating in the Chamonix Mont Blanc region. General piste riding and strong foundations for performance are standard in all our courses, along with constructive video feedback. We offer beginner sessions, backcountry introductions, split boarding tours, avalanche training, freestyle sessions (beginners to rippers), jibbing and fine tuned carving
sessions. NEW RIDERS/ BEGINNERS
As a new rider we will show you how to make the first turns, set up equipment and use the slopes safely. After your first session you will find yourself progressing faster and enjoying the most of what the mountain has to offer. FREESTYLE
Booking a freestyle session whether you're considering the first time in the park or you’ve taken some slams and need to work something out. We cover progressive techniques tailored to the riders goals at a pace suitable to the individual and current conditions considering safety and park etiquette. CARVING
A carving lesson after you’ve learnt the basic turning techniques is like a breath of fresh air, we explore specific and coordinated movements that bring the rider, board and mountain into balance. JIBBING
Rider focussed sessions cover different jib styles and features how to approach manoeuvre and land while considering safety and other slope users. BACKCOUNTRY
In a backcountry session we will discover ways to read the mountain to understand its dangers and avoid them. You will learn what to do if an incident occurs and how to use safety equipment efficiently. Safety is the priority however we also cover techniques such as how to ride in style while exploring different types of backcountry terrain and of course, finding jibs relevant for the individual and conditions. All our sessions can be tailored to suit your needs and include hygienic transport to and from your accommodation to the most appropriate place to ride. Prices are as follows:
