It’s been very hot in Chamonix all week, a real shock after the rain and cool temperatures of the festival weekend. 🥵

Last night I received and email from a participant in my masterclass on running in the heat and its effect on the body and performance.

He shared the following:

“With the information I learned from you on physiological adaptation and how the body responds to heat and by incorporating the training strategies you suggested, I had a great week of training in the heat. It made a huge difference to my energy levels. It was amazing, once you understand the effect and how best to train on those days, how much better my energy was.
I also used the recovery data you mentioned in your talk last Saturday night to track my recovery. and the numbers were fascinating. My coach is an elite runner and loves data but I had never heard the information you shared with us before. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and expertise with us.”

This is one of the reasons why I founded the festival eight years ago. 🙏🤍🙏

Another reason is to raise funds for rare cancer research and to support the foundation and Running on Hope.💙
