Beginning of May we hosted Neil and Chris. Neil had enough fish for his own post and caught a lovely variety to show off many of our treasures.
Desperate to get into the 60's club he pushed hard all week, bagging fish after fish and the odds are normally in your favour that one will be a 60+.
Final day and his dream came true landing a 63lber.

Sometimes things work out perfectly. Lewis, Jordan and Ben joined us on the 16th of May. We were all worried that the fish would be spawning but that's the risk the guys took. Fortunately they weren't and the lads all had a blast landing many stunners between them.
Highlights were Bens double run resulting in a 71 and 65. Jordans 64 and Lewis's 46.10 amongst many others.
The Saturday the guys left the fish started spawning. Timed to perfection with the 2 week break we leave vacant in the hope that they do it in the last week of May. Giving the fish a nice break to get it done and rest/recover before it all kicks off again. With the intense heat on top this has been as stress free as possible for both the fish and us.

In the middle of April Andy, James and Jim arrived to try Forest View for the first time. The guys persevered and were rewarded for their effort.
Andy triumphed the most with his fish of a life time with a 70lb+ PB. James was desperate to get amongst the bigger girls but they dodged him this week, but he did manage a couple of bends in the rod with a couple of high 30's.

Last week we welcomed brothers Pete and George for their first trip here. Although they didn't have many bites, the ones they did have were epic and PB's for both lads.
Pete is part of the rare crowd that have landed 2 x 70's in a week. George was equally as happy to save a blank with a mid 60. All the fish were pushing on in weight with spawn surely just round the corner now.
It's always a pleasure to share in so many peoples joy at landing fish of their dreams.

Here's the drop of photos showing off why these guys all got PB buckets for the last week of April.
Having previously visited, Paul and Wayne brought newbies Wesley and Kieron to try their luck and test their skill. For the most part they were rewarded hugely with some regularly seen fish and some others pushing up the ranks.
Highlights being Pauls 75lber, Waynes 64lber and Wes's 54lber. Another fish pushed into the 50's as well with a lovely common coming out and Paul naming it 'The Viking'

It's always a joy to welcome back Craig and Yvonne and to see them chill and haul some stunners. Middle April, where the lake really starts to come to life and the surrounding beauty of the forest reveals itself, rewarded the couple with some real gems. Craigs mid 60 mirror and mid 50 common being the main highlights and Yvonne loved her little stocky.
We look forward to welcoming them back later this year for more action.
