OMG. Here I am trying to write my second 1K of the day when there is a great kerfuffle outside my window. The dogs going crazy. In the end I went to look thinking it was a dog. It was wild boar - 10 yards from my bedroom window. Never seen one in this part of the country before. It was trying to ram through the fence to get at the dogs. (Wild boar are very aggressive and have nasty tusks). Couldn't believe my eyes. And I am just about to take the dogs for a walk. I shall tread carefully! Boar are more dangerous than the leopards and cheetahs of Africa which keep out of your way. Could never have made that up to put in a story. No one would have believed it. Phew! Pity Asterix wasn't here; he would have sorted it out.

The Occitane Felibree starts tomorrow in our local town, Verteillac. This is the festival of music, dance and culture of the Occitan people, the inhabitants of the region for whom French was a second language up until two generations ago.
