I hope this message finds you well. We are beyond blessed to have you all in our Rugby Family and we are so very excited to move forwards as one. Thank you to all who have already given in the past and recent past. We are so very grateful for where we are today and wouldn't be here without you all.
As a valued member of our Belmont Abbey Rugby community, we are reaching out to you with exciting news and a heartfelt request. This fall, we are embarking on a journey to elevate our rugby program to new heights, and we need your support to make this vision a reality.
Belmont Abbey Rugby has consistently demonstrated a commitment to both excellence and virtue, on and off the field. Our athletes embody the values of teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship, and it is this spirit that has fueled our success over the years. Now, as we set our sights on the next chapter, we are thrilled to announce our goal of joining the prestigious Rugby East Conference.
Joining the Rugby East Conference is a significant milestone that will not only provide our athletes with enhanced competition but will also elevate the profile of our program. This move will open doors to new opportunities, foster growth, and position Belmont Abbey Rugby as a force to be reckoned with on the collegiate rugby scene.
To achieve this ambitious goal, we are directing donations to the Belmont Abbey Rugby 2023 Giving Day Campaign, which officially starts Tomorrow (11/28) but the link is live. We invite you to be a key player in this initiative by making a generous donation.
Your support will directly impact our program by:
Travel and Accommodations: Enabling our team to participate in more high-level competitions, gain exposure, and build the experience necessary to compete at the highest level. While our travel costs for our conference games are covered we need additional games (and subsequent costs are incurred) so that we are appropriately prepared for this challenge.
Coaching and Development: Investing in experienced coaching staff and development programs to ensure our athletes receive the best guidance and support on their journey to success. in Addition to Coach Nick and Genaro, this year we have brought on Coach Chase who is leading the way in analyzing game film, opponent game film, and overseeing our academics. Without your support his position with us would not have been possible.
Equipment and Gear: Providing our players with the latest and best equipment to optimize their performance and ensure their well-being on the field. We train hard every day so our training equipment and gear is essential to our success.... The guys also don't hate looking the best...
