Finally get time to do a quick write up on my trip a few weeks back . Firstly it was hot like very hot . 42 degrees on the Saturday and pretty much 30 plus all week . However it didn't effect the fishing . 27 bites for the week biggest in the mid forties . Fish welfare was the priority so catch unhooked treated and back in the water due to the heat . Simple tactics nothing technical and this produced the bites . Word of warning , if you hook into one of the big commons then brace yourself for a battle as they fight like hell 35 minutes was the longest battle for a 36lb er 😁 . Paul is on hand whenever needed and let's tou get on with it . Basic facilities like toilet and shower are there ,however if you prefer the all singing bells and whistles like WiFi and carpet swims then this is not the place for you . Paul likes to keep the lake with a wild feel to it and thats perfect for me. I am back there in November for a go as I know there are bigger lumps to go at . 😁 . I would highly recommend going there plus the town of verdun is stunning with plenty of shops nearby to replenish food etc . I may book an exclusive for next summer so looking for 2 like minded anglers if anyone fancies a go. Tight lines .
