Alot has been happening since haul out.
Mast - spreaders were at different angles so new through bar fitted so all at 10° now rather than one set at 10° and one at 5°. Mast wiring replaced and put in the conduit so it'll be quieter now too.
Then there was the "small" beam repair. It turns out that we had to replace 2.5m of it. Significantly more work than we had imagined and alot of learning. Luckily lots of knowledge and advice from the Multihull Centre, even if they don't like to admit it, they know alot about wood too.
It's all coming together but still more to do having found rot in the aft beam today. Still hoping to be back sailing again in a week or two.

Gordano Goose is now in Vigo. No window to move further so Vigo is a good safe place to leave her until a Biscay crossing window comes along.

It's been a pretty tough trip and tested us pretty much to the limits. With a few breakages and weather pretty much mostly against us we are very pleased to have reached northern Spain.

Breakages include, shredded mainsail, hole in front beam (fairing piece), hole in port float deck (old access hatch just fell through), another hole in port beam fairing piece that water found a way into filling up the float section again and finally the engine bracket had decided to try and leave the boat.

Gordano Goose is a pretty incredible boat and really is a joy to sail. We found some amazing places in Spain and Portugal and cannot wait to get her home as soon as the Biscay allows.

Nemo is back. After a bit of a detox

Nemo is out of the water 💦 and we are already smashing the inside: we cut a hole in the seat for our electronic migration (moving from the engine bay) and removed our old fuel tank.
We replaced it after our holiday in May, because we found out that it was full of gooey stuff 🦠😬. It was made of ali, wasn’t really attached to the boat and we couldn’t clean the bilge underneath it. We now have a very nice plastic one, that we fitted aft of the engine bay, in the back cabin. Only the bilge to clean now! 😞

The most welcoming place! To conclude our two week holiday in Brittany, we did La Sénane, a day race starting from Audierne, going around the Île de Sein🏝, around the Tévennec, through the Raz de Sein and back to Audierne🌊. It was such a lovely race, beautiful places, beautiful boats such as Irvi and Spirit of Ex**sy (The Edge), even a Mod70! But most importantly was the friendly welcome from the Port d'Audierne and all the organising team, thank you so much for the nice food, the friendly atmosphere and to crew Didier who joined us for the day 💪
