Dressage Anywhere, Beauregard, February 2022.

Macron's (mature) Minxes has expanded by one this month. Warm welcome to Angela Stephens and her lovely chap Dan who posted a great score of 68.04% in Intro C, for an impressive overall 11th place in a 32 strong class.
Jane John Handley brought the ever consistent Jasper for an outing this month. They held the lead for ages in Intro A with a fantastic 71.52% before being pushed down into final overall 6th place out of 25 starters.
Both Rosalind Hollingdale and Karen Nunwick contested Elementary 44, a new level for Karen and Otto. Dipsy scored 68.60% and Otto 66.80%. Both showed potential for high placings with some minor tweaks and the scores were very pleasing.
Saving the best news for best....we have a world champion in our midst! Jo Hall hates me saying this, but it is effectively true! Prince won the veteran prelim 15-19 years Championship with 72.37%. Not content with this, they went on to win a whopping 35 strong Prelim 7 with 72.95%! They are moving up to novice next time.
Jo now features in 7th place in the rider league, and the team holds 6th place currently which is very pleasing.

March 19th Fun dressage day is now 5 weeks away so I need your 'expressions of interest' to change to 'Yes, I'm coming '. If it's not viable I can't run it so I need a minimum of 8 people. I have a top judge and writer very excited to be coming, and obviously there are costs involved to get them here as well as other costs.
I am happy that you pay on the day (20e for first test,15e for second), but if you commit to coming, without wishing to upset anyone, you must pay. If the weather does the dirty on us and we have to cancel, there will be no cost to anyone.
Warm up on flat mown area beyond arena, and in addition everyone will have 15 minutes in the arena to acclimatise (no run throughs) and do test. BD legal bits only, bridles with nosebands, no martingales or other devices, no boots or bandages, smart dress with gloves please.
Prizes in kind plus BTO. Remember we run as percentage tests so you will all be completing against each other.
Tests are Intro B, Prelim 2, Novice 30, Elementary 42.
Any questions please ask, but your commitment to run is what I am looking for now please.

Provisional date for fun dressage day here at Beauregard Asnois 86250 is Saturday March 19th (weather permitting). More details to follow. Tests will be Intro B, Prelim 2, Novice 30, Elementary 42. Excited to have secured super judges for you. 20e first test, 15e second test. BTO prize. PM for details.

Dressage Anywhere results for January. Huge congratulations to the ladies for producing such great scores as follow:

Ever consistent Jane John Handley and the lovely Lily netting overall 6th place, 5th in the restricted with 70.43% in a whopping 24 strong Intro A class.

Equally consistent Jo Hall and Prince winning their prelim class with 70% qualifying them for next month's championships.

Personal best for Karen Nunwick and Pela with 67.83% In the novice, creeping towards her 70% goal.

Overall 8th place for our very welcome newbie Rosalind Hollingdale and Daisy with an impressive 69.63% in the prelim 12, another large class.

Hard work nets results!

UPDATE and report on December's Dressage Anywhere tests

7th out of 21 (3rd restricted) for Jane John Handley and Lily.
2nd for Jo Halland Prince
9th out of 16 for Karen Nunwick and Pella.
Not quite sure yet how this has effected the team placing, but great results ladies! Hoping to introduce two new faces in January...watch this space!!

INIITIAL REPORT.
Incredibly proud of the ladies who braved the cold yesterday at Beauregard Equestrian to produce their Dressage Anywhere tests. It was bitterly cold even though the sun shone.
Jane John Handley produced a stunning test on Lily who gleamed in the sunshine. They are currently comfortably heading the Intro B with 68.91%. I feel sure we will soon be seeing this pair's first prelim.
Jo Hall and Prince produced an accurate well ridden test for a mega 70.93 and are currently heading the veteran prelim.
Karen Nunwick dragged her lovely veteran mare Pella out for an outing. Pella seemed to enjoy herself immensely and the pair scored a very creditable 66.73 to lie half way down the prelim in current third place.
All ladies have improved on last month's scores which is very pleasing, and we wait to see how Macron's (Mature) Minxes improve on their team position. The closing date is the 26th so we are now playing a waiting game as the scores roll in from across the globe, so I will update after Christmas.

Some great results this month for our Dressage Anywhere submissions. Massive congratulations to Jo Hall and evergreen Prince for their over 68% win in the veteran prelim class, and equally huge congratulations to Jane John Handley for two good tests with both Lily and Jasper in a large intro class. This was Jane and Lily's first ever test together and it netted them third place in the restricted section and 5th place overall. Great things to come from this new combination. Karen Nunwick and her 'cando' superstar Otto put in a solid novice test too.
We have started to score as a team now... Macron's (Mature) Minxes, and are already featuring well on the scoreboard. Let's not forget this is a global competition and we are competing against riders from the Cayman Islands, New Zealand and Poland to name a few, as well as the UK.
All of this has given us great impetus to improve our riding and our horses, as well as providing an opportunity for loads of fun and laughter and another horsey interest.
We are always happy to welcome more team members so do get in touch if you are interested.
