Advice to Young People on Drugs
Wise is passionate about encouraging young people to make positive choices and stay away from drugs.
"Don't ever let drugs control you-you control it. You only have one life, so make smart choices"
Life Lessons Through Volleyball
For Wise, volleyball is more than a game. It is a teacher of life.
"Be humble. Don't judge people too quickly. Take the time to understand them because we all come from different backgrounds. We come from different families where we are taught to be humble and respectful. Honour God, respect others, and most importantly, show love. God will reward you for that."
He believes volleyball teaches discipline, teamwork, perseverance, respect, and compassion, qualities that are just as important off the court as they are on it.
As he continues his volleyball journey, Wise hopes to inspire the next generation to dream big, work hard, remain humble, and never forget where they come from.
We wish Waisake all the very best as he continues his journey to the national stage.
