Farewell Mr Maka Waisea
The Eastern Zone Secondary Schools Rugby Union bids farewell to one of its finest coaches, Mr. Waisea Maka.
Through his dedication, passion, and leadership, he played a significant role in guiding Tailevu North College to the National Quarterfinals in 2004 and the U19 to the 2025 Deans Finals. His commitment to developing young rugby players and fostering a culture of excellence has left a lasting impact on our zone.
While his departure is a great loss to the EZSSRU family, we know that Thomas Baker Memorial School and the Western Zone will gain a valuable mentor, leader, and rugby servant.
Your contribution to Eastern Zone rugby will not be forgotten. Thank you for the countless hours, sacrifices, and inspiration you have given to our students and the rugby community.
Vinaka vakalevu, Sir. We salute you and wish you every success in your new posting.

TNC wishes to thank one of its dedicated teachers and coaches for his 11 years of service to the school.
As a Mathematics and Physics teacher, he worked hard to support students in their learning and helped many achieve success in their studies.
He also made a strong contribution to sports. In 2024, he was awarded Best Rugby Coach for the Tailevu Zone. He coached the TNC Under-18 team to the National Quarterfinals in 2024 and the Under-19 team to the National Finals in 2025. He also coached the EZSSRU Under-19 Champions in 2025.
His leadership helped Mokosoi House win the Inter-house Competition for 10 consecutive years, an achievement that reflects his dedication and commitment.
He has been a valuable member of the TNC family, contributing greatly to both academics and sports.
The Management, staff, students, and parents of Tailevu North College thank him for his service and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
Vinaka vakalevu for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to TNC. You will always be part of the TNC family.
