!!!NATIONALS WOMENS U19 CRICKET FINALS!!!
Adi Cakobau School created history today as they became the first holders of the Inaugural Nationals Women's U19 Cricket Tournament by defeating a very determined Moce Secondary School by just 2 wickets.

After winning the toss, Moce Secondary School Captain opted to bat first as they managed to put on a competitive score of 95 runs with their allotted 20 overs. ACS started steadily but the consistent fall of wickets in the middle overs put some hope on the Moce Secondary School womens team but errors in their bowling benefitted ACS and managed to reach their target with 2 wickets in hand.

Hats off to the parents, teachers, students, and supporters of the various school who came out in numbers during the 4 days of competition.

Our U19 women's team went down to a far better side today. Sent in to bowl first, Samoa managed to score 130 runs from their 20 overs. Our women's team went in to bat but the early wicket of Captain Mele Waqanisau proved to hurt the team early, as they never recovered from it.

Although we have not qualified for the world cup, we have won 2 matches out of 4. A lot of learnings from the qualifier and time to reflect for our women's team.

Congratulation's to Samoa Cricket for a fine performance and best of luck in the world cup next year.
