πŸ‡«πŸ‡― 8-Week Wellness Roll-Out Program – Week 7 | Golden Age Home

Week 7 of the Fiji National Sports Commission’s 8-Week Wellness Roll-Out Program recorded a good turnout of 25 participants – 15 adults and 10 children.

The session began with a Taiso warm-up led by instructor Kinisimere, followed by sports activities in Volleyball and Football.

A big Vinaka Vakalevu to Kinisimere and the Golden Age Home staff for their continued support, participation and commitment towards promoting an active and healthy community.

A great beginning to our Train the Trainer Program in Malolo!

We were honoured to have General Manager Mark Kitchen officially open the program and speak about the importance of sports and the strong support from the island’s owners towards sports development.

🌴 MALOLO TRAIN THE TRAINER PROGRAM – DAY ONE 🌴

A fantastic start to our Train the Trainer (TOT) Program here in beautiful Malolo!

We were honoured to have General Manager Mark Kitchen officially open the program and share an inspiring message on the importance of sports and the positive impact it has on people, communities and wellbeing.

Mark also spoke about the strong support from the island’s owners for sports, recognising the value of creating opportunities for people through sport. πŸ™ŒπŸ½βš½πŸπŸ‰

It was wonderful to see participants come together from the main resort and surrounding resorts, united by a shared passion to learn, develop new skills and strengthen sports on the island.

Our journey began at Port Denarau Marina, as the Fiji National Sports Commission Western Division & Central Rural, Educator for Rugby and Netball team travelled across the waters to beautiful Malolo Island. πŸ›₯️🌴

Arriving at Six Senses Fiji, we kicked off Day One of the Malolo Train the Trainer (TOT) Programme.

This programme is made possible through our partnership with Six Senses Fiji, bringing together local leaders, youth and sports advocates to build skills, share knowledge and strengthen grassroots sports development in the Tikina o Malolo. πŸ€πŸ‡«πŸ‡―

The Fiji National Sports Commission proudly conducted an afternoon Kids in Community Program at Naqwalimare District School. πŸ‡«πŸ‡―

The students kicked off the afternoon with a fun and energetic Taiso warm-up followed by engaging activities in Boxing, Rugby and Badminton.

Despite the weather conditions, the students showed great enthusiasm and excitement throughout the session. It was wonderful to see them actively participating, learning new skills, building confidence and developing their sporting abilities. πŸ’ͺ😊

The afternoon was filled with energy, teamwork, laughter and plenty of excitement, highlighting the positive impact that sport can have on our children and communities. πŸ‘πŸŒŸ

We sincerely thank the Head of School and teachers for warmly welcoming our program and providing their students with the opportunity to experience, learn and grow through sport.
