TRAIN THE TRAINER PROGRAM – NAQARAWAI, NAMOSI

The Train the Trainer Program at Naqarawai, Namosi concluded on a high note, marking another successful step in developing sports leaders, coaches, and referees within the district.

The closing ceremony was officiated by the Turaga ni Yavusa Naqarawai, who encouraged participants to make good use of the knowledge gained and the certificates received, reminding them that sport can create opportunities for employment and pathways to represent Fiji in the future.

The program commenced with prayers and words of encouragement from the Vakatawa, who reminded participants that we are God's chosen people and should use our talents to positively impact our communities.

The Mata ni Tikina Naqarawai conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the Fiji National Sports Commission for bringing the Train the Trainer Program to the district and providing opportunities for the people of the highlands of Namosi.

All participants were proudly awarded certificates upon completing the program. In addition, sports equipment was presented to participants from each village to support the continued growth and development of sport within their communities.

Special thanks to Netball Fiji, Fiji Volleyball, and Rugby Fiji for their educators and valuable contribution throughout the training. We also acknowledge the women, men, and youth groups of Naqarawai for their exceptional hospitality, delicious meals, and unwavering support during the three-day program.

Despite the cold conditions of the Namosi highlands, the warmth of the people made this program a memorable and successful one.

Empowering communities through sport, creating opportunities, and building future leaders. Vinaka vakalevu Naqarawai! πŸ‡«πŸ‡―πŸ‰πŸπŸ’ͺπŸ½πŸ…

Empowering Our Educators to Transform School Sports! πŸπŸπŸ‰

We are thrilled to celebrate the successful conclusion of our 3-day Educate the Educator Program in Buca!

This intensive workshop was designed to upskill our dedicated teachers, equipping them with fresh techniques and confidence to lead sports programs back in their schools. Over three days, our facilitators provided hands-on training across four key disciplines:

●Rugby: Match Official certification and development.

●Netball: Umpire training and coaching fundamentals.

●Cricket: Coaching techniques and refereeing standards.

●Volleyball: Coaching essentials and refereeing protocols.

It was inspiring to see the teachers embrace these new skills with such enthusiasm. To ensure they can immediately put this training into action, all participants received their certificates of completion along with new sports equipment packages to help them deliver high-quality coaching in their respective schools.

A huge vinaka vakalevu to our facilitators and all the teachers who participated. Together, we are building a stronger grassroots sports foundation for our children! ?
