Paddle Camp Overview
We are excited to announce the inaugural Fiji Paddle Camp (FPC), set to take place from November 11th to 15th, 2024, at the picturesque Leleuvia Island Resort. Conveniently located just 40 minutes from Suva's Nausori Airport, followed by another 40-minute boat ride. The FPC is designed to offer international paddlers an extraordinary and thrilling paddling experience in a new and magnificent location. With the stunning Leleuvia Island Resort as its backdrop, the event promises an unforgettable setting for this exciting event which we hope will become a regular event on the international paddling calendar.
The FPC is designed as an 'Adventure Paddle Camp', catering to 30 paddlers who will embark on thrilling adventure paddles from the resort to various idyllic surrounding islands. These pristine blue waters make for an unforgettable experience. The camp is ideal for paddlers with experience levels ranging from 3 to 7, as detailed in the self-assessment on the final page of our brochure.
This unique event is organized and coordinated by the Lami Paddling Club, based in Suva and we are fortunate to have the support of both international and local expert coaches. Heading the camp is Eddie Jensen, an experienced international Fijian coach and outrigger event administrator based in Sydney, Australia.
We have strived to make the FPC an affordable and value packed experience. The total cost per participant ranges from $1700 to $1900 AUD, depending on accommodation choices. This price includes all paddling activities, accommodation, food, and boat transfers for a five-night stay. Please note that air travel is arranged independently by each participant. As a rough estimate, you should budget between $2500 and $3000 AUD per person for the entire experience.
