IT’S LATE… BUT CHAMPIONS ARE FOREVER! 🏆

A huge congratulations to all teams who participated in the 2026 Suva Netball Knockout Competition.

🌺OPEN WOMEN’S DIVISION

🥇 Champions: Lomaiviti Ovalau
Lomaiviti Ovalau has once again proven why they are a powerhouse of Suva Netball, securing their 4th consecutive Knockout Championship title.

🥈 Runners-Up: Tiki Vai
Coming into the tournament as the underdogs, Tiki Vai turned heads with their impressive performances throughout the competition. They fought hard all the way to the final and have plenty to be proud of.

🌺OPEN MEN’S DIVISION

🥇 Champions: Tiki Tui
The kings of the Knockout continue their reign! Tiki Tui claimed their 3rd consecutive Knockout

🥈 Runners-Up: Lomaiviti Maloi
A strong campaign from Lomaiviti Maloi, who battled their way through the competition and earned a well-deserved place in the final.

The Suva Netball Association officially opened its 2026 Knockout competition on Saturday, 23rd May, bringing together some of the country’s emerging netball talent in an exciting start to the season.

The competition attracted 16 open women’s teams and 8 open men’s teams, highlighting the growing popularity of netball and the opportunities it provides for young athletes to develop their skills and pursue their sporting ambitions.

Officially opening the competition was the Hon. Mr. Mosese Bulitavu, who commended the Suva Netball Association for its continued commitment to developing young talent and creating opportunities for women and youth through sport.

Minister Bulitavu said competitions such as these play an important role in keeping young people engaged in positive activities while helping to build confidence, leadership and respect.

He also encouraged young people to remain focused on their education, sporting goals and future aspirations, noting that sport can provide a positive outlet as Fiji continues to address challenges such as drug use and the HIV epidemic.
