Today we had a session about enlightening our players some of the topics written
1. Playing Rugby Overseas - Understanding your Terms & Conditions your welfare as a player is paramount. Most people think of going abroad to play is just leaving our shores to enter another country not knowing what to expect when they get there. So it’s important for coaches and management and parents to consult with Overseas clubs and come to an agreement.
2. Different categories of Playing - Different countries have different leagues and set up for their competition. From Amateurs, Studies, Academies all the way up to Professional Clubs and National. They need to know which level they are going to play and the challenges to face in order to make it to the high level.
3. Consistency of Performance & Reputation
Players need to be reminded that playing is based on their performance. Therefore their preparation is very important as a team and as individual to be able to meet club expectations. They career is based on their performance and development and self improvement is crucial for them to grow and always fighting to be the best so they are recognized and rewarded.
4. FINANCE MANAGEMENT- While playing rugby, investment is something that they need to look at something to sustain them after rugby. Don’t just rely on one source of income but use rugby as a platform to open up other opportunities while you still playing.
A lot of learning from our players and positive feedbacks. This will really help them daily in terms of their preparation and achieving their goals. We need to inform them young so when grow old they know how to captain their own boat.
