Samuela Naqari against Oliver Firth . Despite the fight did not go down as we had hoped, Naqari showed strength and guts against the hard hitting Kiwi.

The fight was dedicated to all past and present service personnel of the Fiji Navy as we celebrate 50 years of service in Fiji. Vinaka vakalevu for all your service and dedication.

Appreciation to all our family, friends and supporters for showing up in numbers and getting behind our corner, we appreciate you all.

What a night of Boxing, OS Naqari made a stellar debut appearance last night as he came away with an Unanimous Points Victory over his more experienced opponent. While he started out strongly by knocking and rocking his opponent in the earlier round his mantle was tested when he hyperextended his shoulder after throwing a shot over his opponent on the second round. While the team managed to fix his shoulder during the break,it was tough going for OS Naqari as he persevered through the pain and the agony to still outpoint his much game and experienced foe. Also on the card were two of our Civilian Boxers in Kimo Vakalalabure and Abhay Chand Jnr,Kimo Vakalalabure fought on the exhibition bout and displayed excellent boxing skills, however for exhibitions it will always end in Draws.Abhay Chand Jnr who also debuted last night won spectacularly with a second round KO of his opponent.Navy Boxing is well on its way in the Professional ranks as most of our boxers make their journey into the Professional ranks.
Special mentions goes to our major sponsor in for their tremendous support on this campaign,HQ Navy and our manager SUB Jemesa Makalai for his tireless work behind the scenes. Not forgetting Na'oro Fitness for their continuous support in kinds.

Navy Boxing continues the legacy of our late Commander Stanley Brown who was a pioneer and founding member of the Establishment of Amatuer Boxing in Fiji.
