2020 DEFENCE CLUB SQUASH OPEN: TOURNAMENT RULES
1. All players to follow COVID-19 Guidelines for Players (Refer poster attached).
2. Mandatory temperature testing and registration on entry to Defence Club.
3. ThetournamentisSquashFijisanctioned.Playerswillbeautomaticallyenlisted into the National Ranking System and ranking points will be applied after tournament ends.
4. Official ball for the tournament is Dunlop Pro (double yellow).
5. Scoring will be via SportyHQ App. All players will be able to access draws and results by logging into SportyHQ.
6. All players are guaranteed a minimum of 2 matches.
7. Matches are best of 3 Games. The first player to win 2 games wins the match. Finals and possibly Semi-finals (time permitting) will be best of 5 Games. The first player to win 3 games wins the match. Each Game is up to 11 points.
Note: Due to the number of entries and curfew restrictions we have had to restrict matches to 3 games until finals.
8. Playersshouldtrytoarrive45minsbeforetheirmatch.Ifmatchesrunaheadof schedule we will try to play earlier than the scheduled time.
9. Matches otherwise must be played on days and times listed in the draws. We will not be able to coordinate changes.
10.There is a 5 minute warm up period at the start of a match and 90 sec break between games.
11.Should a player be late then games will be awarded to the player who is at the court and ready to play as follows:
 5 mins late - continue with game but no warm-up for late player.
 Every 5 mins thereafter, 1 game will be awarded to the player who is
ready at the court.
12.A First Aid kit and ice will be available at Defence Club for the duration of the Tournament.
13.Entry Fees must be paid before you will be permitted to play your first match. (Direct deposit in our account is available before tourney).
