🌏 Our Global Learning and Development Framework (GLDF) Education training took place from 21-23 January in Tokyo, hosted by the Japan Anti-Doping Agency.

With the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standard for Education (ISE) coming into effect, Education officers and managers from the Asia/Oceania region took a step-by-step look at ISE requirements and prepared for implementation. Participants shared practices and reflected on lessons learned through interactive activities aimed at strengthening clean sport education.

This in-person training was made possible thanks to additional contributions from the Japanese Government and JADA, supporting meaningful exchanges between practitioners and driving positive impact for clean sport. 🤝

Honored to have attended the Global Learning Development Framework (GLDF) in Tokyo, Japan on the 21st - 23rd January 2026.

Attended on behalf of the Drug Free Sport Fiji (DFSF) which is equivalent to the National Ant-Doping Agency in various regional and international countries.

This trip is made possible by the Japan Anti-Doping Agency (JADA) in collaboration with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The learnings from this training will assist in the development of an Education Plan for Fiji.

Grants accessible for youth.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports is calling for applications from interested individuals and youth clubs to access the Youth Grant it disburses.

The Youth Grant supports youth and sports development work and initiatives for youth and sports clubs registered under the Ministry.

For 2025, assistance will focus on Youth Entrepreneurship Development and Livelihood Opportunities.

Interested individuals and registered youth clubs can apply for FJD $1000.00 to $5000.00 Grant Assistance.

Priority will be given to those who have not been assisted by the Ministry.

Applications close on 01/12/25.

Great meet with GIZ Culture Specialist, Mr Mateboto Jalesi in regard to the development of the proposed Fiji Cultural Statistics Framework.

The meet is of significance due to the cultural impacts associated during relocation. With the climate change different aspects of the cultural sector is impacted.

This ranges from products to raw materials of cultural artifacts, and traditional knowledge. The loss and damage of TKW need to be captured statistically.

The meet is just the begining of the many more collaboration between GIZ and the Ministry of itaukei Affairs - Department of Culture, Heritage & Arts.
