"The Journey of Faith”
From the Village to the National Provincial Championship (NPC) 🙌📈We are incredibly proud to share a monumental update on the remarkable journey of our FlameTree Colo-i-Suva Rugby Club members. What began as a leap of faith has now officially transformed lives and opened historic doorways for our club and community.Back in February this year, our team embarked on a special tour to New Zealand for the Fiji Hamilton 7s.
We called it "The Journey of Faith." Our objective was never just about winning trophies; our core goal was to play our hearts out, showcase our grassroots talent, secure contracts, and pioneer a path of opportunity for the rest of the players back home in the village.Though our tournament run ended fiercely in the main cup Quarter Finals, the blessings that followed were far greater than any trophy. Out of the 14 players who traveled, an incredible 11 players secured rugby contracts for the New Zealand season.Spread across three clubs in the Waikato and Auckland regions, our final charge to these 11 trailblazers was simple: honor your new clubs, stay humble, and remember that you are the pioneers holding the door open for your brothers back home. We challenged them to push for the next level—the prestigious New Zealand National Provincial Championship (NPC).Today, we are overjoyed to announce that three of our players have done exactly that. Standing out through their stellar performances for the Te KauwhataRugbyClub, they have officially been selected for the Counties Manukau Divisional Team currently competing in the NPC!
