The pasture season has begun now also here in the far North. 🌱

Up here, summer arrives a little later. Although these days, it often seems to arrive a bit earlier than it used to.

We’ve been waiting for the grass to grow, and now the horses have finally been let out onto the pasture.

Our horses are free to choose. They have access to the pasture, their own paddock, and the stable all day long. The stable gives them a cool place to rest and shelter from the sun and the insects whenever they feel like it.

They can come and go whenever they want, following their own rhythm.

Happy horses ❤️

The midnight sun season has officially started in Hetta, Enontekiö 🧡

Last night was the first night without sunset, and now the sun will stay above the horizon for the next eight weeks.

The nights have already been bright for a long time, but now the sun stays visible all night long.

This is the natural rhythm of life in the far north 🤍

Would you like to experience the sun shining through the entire night?

The most wonderful people keep finding their way to us, and we are grateful for every shared moment.

Here are just a few memories from this season.

At the end of February, we welcomed three families from France to spend a private evening with us under the northern sky. In total, they were 15 people sharing this experience together.

Each family enjoyed a short horse sleigh ride through the winter landscape, followed by an evening around the fire. We served small tastings prepared in a traditional way, using local ingredients.

Simple moments, warm fire, and time spent together 🤍

A lovely family from Switzerland joined us for a two-day snowmobile adventure in the wilderness, a father and his two daughters.

Both days we covered around 80 km, exploring the wilderness and the open tundra. The days were absolutely beautiful and sunny, and we felt very lucky.

The wind was quite strong at times, so we stopped in places with more trees for cover and enjoyed lunch by the fire. On the first day by a lake, and on the second day with a lovely little river view.

April is a perfect time to explore the wilderness and experience multi-day snowmobile adventures 🤍

A beautiful evening from late February on our Guaranteed Northern Lights Expedition ✨

At first, the auroras were soft and quiet, just like in these photos. We were about to leave when suddenly the whole sky ignited, with bright colors, fast movement, absolutely stunning.

Now our northern lights season has come to an end for this spring. We always run our last tours at the end of March, as the days get longer and the nights become too bright.

It’s still possible to see auroras in April if they are strong enough. Last year, I saw them for the final time on April 20th, deep in the wilderness.

Soon after, the midnight sun takes over. By the end of May, the sun doesn’t set at all for over a month here.

We’ll see the northern lights again at the end of August, when the nights finally grow dark enough.
Our tours will start again in early September next autumn 💫

It is almost Easter.

Many people come here for the long Easter weekend. It’s early spring, usually April, and for many it’s simply the best time to be here, in the far North of Lapland.

People are relaxed, happy, and just enjoying being outside again after the winter.

Days are spent outside. Skiing, time at the cabin, just enjoying the sun. We head to the wilderness to go ice fishing, like many others.

I’m sharing some photos from Easter a couple of years ago.

In the first photos, we had just dug the snowmobile out after it got stuck 🤭 The snow was a bit challenging that day. No problem. We were just happy to have that moment together in the wilderness, a small adventure of our own ❤️

Later, we met some friends out in the wilderness and enjoyed snacks by the fire.

If Easter is part of your life, how do you usually spend it? Do you have any traditions?

And if not, is there another moment in spring that feels important to you?

Happy Easter!

Our snowmobile safaris are not just about driving a snowmobile. They are a way to explore the wilderness.

Our tours take place in real wilderness, not on marked routes.

The wilderness here is our home.

There’s always more to see than just the landscape. You start to notice how life actually is here, along the same paths we use.

Would you drive 120 km for this?
