Finnish Match Race Nationals in Vaasa finished with this kite drop 🤭
We were 6th after the round robin but finished 7th after another round robin between places 5-9. First day felt really difficult, probably due to lack of training together. Saturday morning we got our groove back but those wins weren’t enough to get us in the semis.
As always, Vaasa offered very shifty winds, very well organized regatta, and this time a festival to listen to while sailing 💃 We’ll be back and we’ll be back to aim for the brightest medal 💪

Last weekend was a blast! NJK Open Spring Cup as per of the offered tight races, new international opponents. We felt good in the boat, the training for the pst few years really has paid off. Luckily we got to jump in as a fifth member after a lst minute change. Podium hasn’t felt this good in a long time 💪🏻⛵️🥂🥉

5th at Women’s Match Race World Championships 🙌🏻⛵️

We are so happy having seen all our dear opponents and umpires again after the long covid break! Racing was good, tight, wet, and full of ups and downs. Tide and currents turned out not be as strong as expected in the outer harbour where most racing was done. Organizing was super 🤌🏻 Special thanks to our host Olivier, the commodore of for a cozy stay in Cherbourg.

Our ”best” moments didn’t get on the video. While the chief umpire guessed there wouldn’t be any big problems, he was wrong 🙈 We managed to get our gennaker in the water quite badly - twice. This results in only one win for yesterday. Top four teams are clear, and unfortunately we don’t have a chance to get to the semis anymore.

Today we’ll finish RR2 and fight for the 5th position! 💪🏻💪🏻
