For decades the three magical letters and the black and white club colours have symbolized football and ice hockey played at the international top level. FC TPS Turku has won the Finnish Championship 8 times since 1922. TPS won the Finnish Cup in 1991, 1994 and 2010, and also played in the Finnish Cup final in 1996, 1997 and 2005. TPS players have made it to the international fields. Most recently Onni Valakari (Pafos), Lucas Bergström (Chelsea), Niklas Pyyhtiä (Bologna), Dren Terrnava (Parma Calcio), Nikolas Talo (FC Groningen), Lukas Hradecky (Bayer Leverkusen), Jere Uronen (Schalke 04) and Niklas Moisander (Malmö). Turku, the home city of TPS, is the oldest city in Finland and Finland's gateway to Europe. He won the incredible amount of 9 Olympic medals during his career as a long-distance runner and is well known all over the world as one of the best athletes ever.
