Nicky has been family to be since day 1. Florida Panthers Iceden. When I had nothing and was no one. When the thought of Vanguard never existed. Just a guy trying to teach the game.
When we talked about a testimonial video, there’s no way I could’ve ever imagined to hear the words that I just heard, could make a grown man cry. But maybe I should have been knowing the man that Nicky has become.
To watch him grow on and off the ice from childhood into the man he has become has made me so unbelievably proud to be a part of. His parents and younger sister, we are all family who I love and respect to the end of the world.
Everything, and I mean everything this man has accomplished has been through his hard work, dedication, and attrition.
I am so incredibly proud of you Nicky. And you aren’t even close to finished. You have every positive attribute a man could aspire to have and none of the negatives. And I am honored to be a part of your journey.
