🇫🇮 1 Day Left to Support the Finland Men's 7s Fundraiser 🇫🇮

Today we hear from another of the team's debutants, Daniel Kirk, who is set to earn his first cap for Finland Men's 7s at Rugby Europe Conference 1 in Andorra this weekend.

While this will be Daniel's first appearance for Finland 7s, he has already represented Finland at XVs level and now adds another chapter to his international rugby journey.

Daniel's ambition reflects that of the entire squad, as Finland continues to work towards climbing the Rugby Europe and World Rugby rankings.

Now we hear from another of the team's six debutants, Keith Burrow (Wizards of Oulu Rugby Club), who is set to earn his first cap for Finland at Rugby Europe Conference 1 in Andorra this weekend.

After years of hard work, commitment, and dedication to the game, Keith will proudly represent Finland on the international stage for the first time.

His journey is a reminder of the sacrifices players make for the opportunity to wear the Finland jersey and represent their country.

🇫🇮 2 Days Left to Support the Finland Men's 7s Fundraiser 🇫🇮

Today we hear from Eric Maroni (Turku Eagles), who will earn his first cap for Finland at Rugby Europe Conference 1 in Andorra this weekend. Eric has also been named the team's vice-captain.

Representing Finland is a proud moment for any player, but it comes with significant commitment and personal expense. For many of our younger players, who are still studying, the costs of camps, travel, and international tournaments can be a real challenge.

As Eric says:

"We need your help, especially the young players who are still studying and cannot afford the travelling."

The Finland Men's 7s squad for Rugby Europe Conference 1 has been selected.

13 players will travel to Andorra, including five potential new caps.

🐾 Who is Hopeanuoli?

Before becoming the mascot of the Finnish Men's 7s National Team, Hopeanuoli was already a familiar name to generations of Finns.

Originally created in Japan, the story of Hopeanuoli follows a young Akita dog named Gin as he grows through courage, perseverance, and adversity to become a respected leader.

Although the story began far from Finland, Hopeanuoli became a cultural phenomenon here and remains one of the country's most beloved anime characters.

But what does the story of Hopeanuoli have to do with rugby?

Costa Blanca 7s on nyt pelattu, ja joukkue valmistautuu parhaillaan kauden päätavoitteeseen, Rugby Europe Conference 1 -turnaukseen Andorrassa 13.–14.6. Ennen sitä joukkueella on vielä yksi harjoitusleiri jäljellä.

⏳ Pienkeräyskampanja päättyy 12.6.

Kerätyt varat ovat auttaneet joukkuetta osallistumaan Costa Blanca 7s -turnaukseen ja tukevat valmistautumista sekä osallistumista Rugby Europe Conference 1 -turnaukseen Andorrassa.

🇫🇮 Help Support the Finland Men's 7s National Team 🇫🇮

The work is still being put in.

Costa Blanca 7s is now complete, and the team's focus has turned to Rugby Europe Conference 1 in Andorra on 13–14 June. Before then, there is one final training camp remaining.

⏳ Our fundraising campaign closes on 12 June.

Funds raised have already helped support the team's participation at Costa Blanca 7s and will continue to support preparations for and participation in Rugby Europe Conference 1 in Andorra.

We understand that times are challenging for many people, but every contribution, no matter how small, helps the team on its journey.
