Last week we had the honor to take part in Porvoo Derby Fest where we had our folks both playing and officiating. We also did a closing sales of our remaining merchandise 📉

We decided to donate all the funds from the sales directly to John Nurmisen Säätiö whose mission is to save the Baltic Sea and its heritage for future generations.

We managed to gather 255 € for the cause, thank’s for that 💙

It's time for farewell. Covid times have been tough for many a league, ours included. We are sad to face the reality of not recuperating from the challenges of the past years: too few people, too little time, limited resources, the cycle goes on...

However, HCQ is wearing their jerseys with a smile on their face – even though we are not continuing as a registered association from here on 💙

The spirit of the Vesikkos and our love towards roller derby remains. That said, we will surely meet again somewhere and sometime in the derbysphere 🌊 ✨

Valitettavasti joudumme kertomaan, että olet voinut altistua koronavirukselle sunnuntaina 19.12. Merilahden koulun liikuntasalissa (Kallvikinniementie 1) klo 15-18 välisenä aikana meidän ja Rebel Rollers Helsinkin järjestämässä joulurulladiskossa (https://www.facebook.com/events/1614873998851111). Tarkkailethan vointiasi ja menet matalalla kynnyksellä koronatestiin.

Unfortunately we have to tell you that you might have been exposed to the Corona virus on Sun Dec 19th between 3-6pm at Merilahti School Gym (Kallvikinniementie 1) at the Xmas roller disco (https://www.facebook.com/events/1614873998851111) organised by us and Rebel Rollers Helsinki. Please keep an eye on your condition and go to the corona test on a low threshold.

Come one, come all. Let's welcome the most festive of seasons in a relaxed atmosphere.

We will be adhering to the current recommendations and restrictions in Helsinki for the coronavirus epidemic. Is Xmas still Xmas without a Big Track Extravaganza?

Well, this year we have to find out. Almost as soon as the announcement for the 3ABRYBTRDEGCJMS was made, it became apparent that the chances of it actually happening were diminishing with each passing day.

And now the city of Helsinki has temporarily suspended all city-run indoor team sports and contact sport activities for people over the age of 20 for three weeks (23.11.-13.12.2020).

Covid-19 is still here and it is our collective responsibility to take every precaution for the health and well-being of our fellow humans.

But fear not, because you can still use this time to imagine what could have been and definitely will be in 2021.

Take all that pent-up Good Cheer and Joyous Merriment, put it in writing and drop it into our suggestion box for the 4ABRYBTRDEGCJM scrimmage.

See you in 2021!

This year the 3rd Annual Bu***ke Randelin Yuletide Big Track Roller Derby Extravaganza of Good Cheer and Joyous Merriment Scrimmage isn't happening. Covid-19 is still out there and even though Xmas is a time of wonder, it is not a time of recklessness and disregarding advice from health experts. So....
