The game we play 🔥
People often ask why we travel hundreds of kilometers every weekend for a game that lasts only a few hours.
I don't think I can truly explain it to someone who didn't grow up with cricket. They see a long, strange game. I see every summer of my childhood. I see the people I loved, the memories, the heat, the rain, the dust, the smell of the ground, and the feeling of chasing something that mattered so much.
Because cricket was never just about runs, wickets, or results.
It's about the early morning alarms, the long drives, the dressing room laughs, the grass stains, the bruises, and the people who slowly become family. It's about learning to handle failure, celebrate the small wins, and keep showing up when eleven people are counting on you.
Years from now, I may not remember every scorecard. But I'll remember who stood beside me when those moments happened.
Because cricket isn't an emotion because of what happens on the field. It's an emotion because of who you were sitting next to when it did.
And maybe that's why we will always keep coming back. ❤️🏏
