Mukavia hetkiä ja retkiä lasten kanssa Kalajoelle! 😍

🛺 Muksut bussiin ja menoksi

😍 Kalajoen kaupungin varhaiskasvatuspalvelut sai käyttöönsä kolme muksubussia viime marraskuussa. Muksubussit on otettu ilolla vastaan niin henkilökunnan kuin lastenkin keskuudessa.

🚲 Muksubussin kyytiin mahtuu kerralla 6–8 lasta, riippuen kyytiläisten iästä. Henkilökunnan mielestä muksubussi on huippujuttu, sillä se helpottaa esimerkiksi kulkemista retkille.

In the photo you can see Ouca bike frames in production. The bikes are almost ready, only the installation of the cargo boxes is still missing.

Ouca bikes are built using a network based production model. We focus on what we do best: design, development and final assembly. Reliable subcontractors manufacture key components, which keeps production flexible and allows us to scale quickly without heavy factory investments.

Frames and metal parts are manufactured only about 20 km from us by Metalpower Oy. The cargo boxes are produced by Finncont Group in Virrat. Seat cushions, rain covers and cargo box covers are made by VA-Varuste in Kuopio. The motors come from France from Valeo Mechanical engineering and product design have been carried out together with Huld – Part of Gofore Group. Smaller components come from partners around the world.

This model keeps the supply chain agile. When demand grows, we can scale assembly quickly without rebuilding the entire production system.

We are pleased to announce a new dealer partnership with Etra.

Through , Ouca Flatbed is now available to industrial operators in Finland, Sweden and Estonia. Factory areas, maintenance teams and internal logistics require mobility solutions that are stable, durable and built for daily use. Flatbed is designed exactly for that environment.

Etra’s strong position in the industrial sector makes this a strategic step in expanding Ouca’s industrial presence in the Nordics and Baltics.

We are happy to announce a new dealer partnership with .nl 🤩

Together with Willem Boverhof and the Cargobikes.nl team, we are strengthening Ouca sales in the Netherlands and Belgium and expanding our presence to Munich via their network.

Cargobikes.nl will represent the full Ouca range, including Kiddiebus, Transport and the Flatbed model. The Flatbed is designed for professional use, well suited for applications such as industrial maintenance and facility operations, and will be available from April.

Cargobikes.nl has strong local knowledge, deep experience in professional cargo bike use and a clear focus on long term customer relationships. Exactly the kind of partner we want to grow with.

Ouca’s story - when children’s safety and durability could not be a compromise.

Everything started from real use, not from branding.

In 2017, Muksubussi Oy began renting cargo bikes to kindergartens in Finland under the Muksubussi brand. The bikes were sourced from other manufacturers and used daily in real kindergarten environments, with children and educators relying on them as part of everyday work.

Very quickly, two issues became clear. The bikes did not last, and their safety level was not where it should be when transporting children. Components broke, stability was lacking, and many solutions looked acceptable on paper but caused concern in real world use.

When children are involved, compromises are not an option.

In 2019, the decision was made to start developing a cargo bike of our own. The goal was not to add another product to the market, but to create a solution that kindergartens could genuinely trust in daily use. That decision marked the beginning of Ouca.

Today we delivered two Ouca Kiddiebus bikes to Sykkelsentralen in Norway. From there, they continue their journey to Tempe Barnehagen. Great to see Ouca becoming part of everyday life in European daycares.

Eight Kiddiebuses on their way to the Netherlands in fully recyclable cardboard packaging. The packaging is designed to protect the bikes during transport and it can even carry stacked loads of around two hundred kilos. They are heading to Today where they will soon enter daycare use. The bike is almost ready to ride right out of the box since the protective arch only needs to be lifted up and secured with a few screws. Inside waits a tool built for the daily demands of daycare use made to handle hard work day after day. The journey continues from here to new users.
