Jäiden lähtöä on hauska bongata. Tänä keväänä kävi tuuri kun aurinkokin paistoi. Niin kaunista, niin lähellä. Kiitos!

I´ve been looking how the sea freezes and melts since I was a boy. It is allways a drama. I´m also thankful for all work what has done to make the Baltic Sea wealthy again. The seaweed population in the video looks very fresh, it is a specie "rakkolevä" which indicates of clean seawater. Looks now better than 15 years ago, at that time it was all almost dead.

Electric propulsions have great torque powers. After almost two weeks rains we had a sunny day to record some shots. Hope you enjoy these.

Merione sähkövene Amsterdamissa - Merione electric boat in Amsterdam

Kerrankin oli venenäyttely mukavassa paikassa. Työpäivän päätteeksi kanava-ajelulle. Samalla huomasimme hitaan kiiruhtamisen nautinnollisuuden: savuton, lähes äänetön, helposti hallittava. Merione näytti parhaat puolensa, akutkin olisivat riittäneet hyvin vaikka koko päiväksi.

It was so nice to have a channel cruise after day´s work. What a relaxing feeling and feedback for the product presented here. Smokeless, silent, easy manouverable and with powerful propulsion in tight control even at the most narrow places. No worries with massive sightseeing taxiboats. Suberb!

Time for delivery

We had an very active one year process with Merione. A year of joy, challenges, sweat and deep thinking. Now the first boat has deliveried to Sweden and we go on with the phase 2. I´m so thankful to all cooperation partners and In Time staff to get this process going on. Special thanks to Swedish parners and my family. You made this possible.

Today when I started transport Merione for Rannnikkoseutu testing, I crashed the boat against our workshop´s lifting door. Sometimes testing has unpredictable methods. It was also close to deliver a new Merione 22 Open, a minimalistic model, no windshields at all.

Floating boat show testing

At last week there was at Vanajavesi the Floating Small boat Show for journalists over the Europe. Our Merione had her successful premier there. Lot of excited visits to the lake.

I believe visitors liked our handy boat. The boat fulfilled also our goals. It is stable with a light feeling, no steps to plane, top speed 25 knots with one person, with seven 19 knots. Yet we don´t know final values, because our propeller angle might not be an ideal.

The engine max power was 64,5 kW. The operation range varies from 12 seamiles to over 50 seamiles, according the speed.
Charging time with one charger was 10 hours, with more chargers we would have 4-6 hours charging time.

We were presenting Merione together with our Swedish partners. Like this it was nice - not so hard work, also time to enjoy the wet Finnish nature. Without a smell of gasoline. Great!
