Kotka to host major UIM youth circuit racing event
Thirty-two young drivers from eight countries will soon head to Finland for the Kotka Powerboat Race, a three-class UIM-titled event hosting the GT30 European Championship, GT15 World Championship and GT10 European Cup.
Estonia's Paul Richard Laur, the 2025 GT15 World Champion and 2025 UIM Junior Driver of the Year, is moving up to the GT30 class where he will race against twelve other competitors, including fellow Estonian Andres Virumann, the defending 2025 GT30 European Champion.
In GT15, the 2025 European Champion Toni Kade from Finland will be aiming to complete his collection of UIM titles. The category will also welcome fellow Finn Valter Laine, the 2025 GT10 European Cup Champion who is stepping up to GT15, a move that once again highlights the dynamism of junior circuit racing and the natural progression of drivers through the classes as they grow and gain experience.
