Some things just don't get done; they linger in the intensity of everyday life. Olaf is probably doing well there anyway, snow having given way to greenery. This is a daily reminder to f**k the hunt for perfect, and the constant messages from the wellness industry, which wants us to believe that for ex, we should both be parents and give quality time to our family and friends, work full-time just to put food on the table, find the time to scrub and clean tidy homes, have hobbies, stay fit and attractive, and prioritize self-care and - resting. WTF?!
You are human; trying to do it all would mean constant failure, adding extra weight to shoulders that are already carrying too much! May Olaf stay there happily. Instead of feeling bad for not being enough, let's celebrate the ability to stay human, messy, and wonderfully engaged with what truly matters—rather than being perfect. To manage the days, give space to love each other, and leave things behind when needed!
Regards from us—we who work with health and self-care methods, yet are still able to acknowledge the complexity of it all!! We know that self-care is a privilege all human beings should be granted, and that community care is what is truly needed. Wishing you all peace with the unperfect.
