Heya!👋

Tomorrow at 18:00 we can have our first of the season Ballet Class at Lillukka🩰
It will be a completely introductory and basic class, so whoever is interested, no matter if you have previous experience, feel free to join. Then we can figure out what level (beginner, basic, advanced) we want to do later on and whether there can also be a junior class for our little ones🤗👧🧒

After the class, at 19:00, there will be a contemporary dance choreo session if anyone wants to stay and try that out. 🤸‍♀️

*1st Dance Club Session and Open Flea Market*
Hei hei hei! The Dance Club at Kortepohja starts officially today. It will be an introductory session where we will get to know each other and discuss what kind of dances you would like us to provide this year. If you feel confident to teach or co-teach, please do join this session, so we can plan together the upcoming ones.

The door will be open from 17:30-19:00. After a short introduction of the teachers and the dances we had past years, we will try out a couple of choreos of Bollywood dancing that we were rehearsing and performing last year.

The Bollywood piece we'll practice today is partially a partner dance. Feel free to bring a partner, or we can find and rotate partners in class

Simultaneously, we will have an open flea market, giving away clothes and items that have been collected from people in Kortepohja and you can take for free whatever you need.

Hello amazing people!! No time no see (no dance)!💃

So today, at 19:00-20:00 I will be at Lillukka doing contemporary dancing if anyone wants to join!! We can work on a choreography and some simple moves, so no prior knowledge required.

Come as you are and let's move our bodies a bit!! 🤸‍♀️

Hello great people and dancers of Kortepohja!🤩

This year the Kortepohja Dance Club offers introductory and ongoing sessions for Salsa&Bachata💃, Ballet🩰, Bollywood🕺 and Belly Dancing👯‍♀️, every Sunday at Lillukka from 16.00-20.00.

The schedule will be changing every month according to instructors' available hours, so keep an eye on our page and WhatsApp group. 👀

📝For October, these are the upcoming classes:
10.10.21 Ballet class at 17.00-18.00
17.10.21 Belly dancing at 18.30-19.30
31.10.21 Salsa&Bachata at 17.00-18.00

Hey everyone, we Dance club instructors are aware that the city of Jyväskylä has recommended that all indoor group exercise for people over the age of 18 should be suspended until the end of February. (Source: https://tinyurl.com/y6np5dcg). However, we came to the conclusion that we will start the classes because we want to and there's demand for them. If you want to attend the classes you must know that you do it on your own risk. Wearing of masks, use of hand sanitazer and keeping safe distances are recommended. A video of the class' choreography will be available afterwards.

Tomorrow 18.30 to 20.00 will be a revision session of past choreographies for Bollywood dance. but you don't need to know them to join. ☺️

Bachata classes will start then next Sunday.☺️

And the location is the same, Lillukka in Kortepohja!

Hey everyone! We are sending this message in behalf of Apoorwa and Sam: The dance club will now also include a Bollywood segment from 19 00 to 20 00 every Sunday, starting tomorrow. You're all welcome to join and bring along fellow movers and shakers who would like to give it a shot. We will practice complete choreographies while also improvising and creating our own moves. Looking forward to dancing with you!

We will follow the COVID - guidelines so a mask is recommended and during the class we will keep safe distances amongst each other.

Hello fellow dancers!💃🕺 We would like to inform you that based on the new recommendations on Coronavirus we would also recommend the use of masks during the dancing sessions. For this Sunday 27/9 we will not be dancing, but we will see a dance movie in Lillukka at 16:00, while wearing masks and keeping a safe distance. For next weekend we will assess the situation again and make an announcement. Enjoy your weekend and stay safe!😷
