Bujinkan is a Japanese, living martial art with a broad variety of techniques, strategy and tactics to arm you with tools to face and survive any situation with a focused mind. The roots of the art are in nine schools of martial arts that survived during the periods of violence and war in Japan's last thousand years.
In Bujinkan Mushin Dojo Jyväskylä, we aim to practice all aspects of the art in a safe and encouraging environment. The techniques of the Bujinkan are dangerous, so practitioners must first learn self-control and how to receive techniques in a safe way. Accidents during practice are rare, because of our heavy emphasis on awareness and control. There are no competitions in the art. Survival is more important than winning.
Please understand that martial arts is, and is not, for everyone. Practice requires persistence, sweat, and the capacity to face yourself so that you may learn to be better. Every student of the art will need to grow into a martial artist the hard way; through rigorous practice of the body and mind.
It does not matter where you begin; young, old, weak or strong. To begin, you only need an open mind. To follow through, you will need to develop the mind of a martial artist; persisting through any obstacle.
