Jyväskylän Aalto ry on syntynyt kahden jyväskyläläisen uimaseuran Swimming Jyväskylän ja Kampuksen Plaanin yhdistäessään voimansa vuoden 2021 lopulla. Yhteistä matkaa jatkamme vanhan Swimming Jyväskylän Y-tunnuksen alla ja uudeksi nimeksemme valittiin Syyskokouksessa 2021 Jyväskylän Aalto ry. Swimming Jyväskylä on vuonna 2000 perustettu uintiseura, jonka juuret ovat 1990-luvun loppupuolella. Jyväs
kylässä toimi silloin kaksi vahvaa uimaseuraa Jyväskylän Uimaseura ja Jyväskylän Saukot. Seurojen edustusuimarit olivat harjoitelleet saman valmentajan johdolla jo useamman vuoden ajan. Taloudellisten ja urheilullisten syiden vuoksi toiminnan yhdistäminen kasvoi valmentajien unelmaksi. Aktiiviset seuraihmiset ja valmentajat kartoittivat tilanteen ja vuoden 1999 lopulla
päätettiin yhdistää seurojen kilpauintitoiminnat. Jyväskylän Saukot jatkaa edelleen vahvana
vesipalloseurana. Tämä sivu on tarkoitettu kaikille entisille, nykyisille ja tuleville Swimming Jyväskylän jäsenille sekä muille kannattajille ja uintiurheilusta kiinnostuneille. Tervetuloa mukaan!

Swimming Jyväskylä, established in 2000, is the local swimming club in the city of Jyväskylä. Its history reaches back to 1990’s, when there were two well-known and strong swimming clubs in the region, namely the Jyväskylä Swimminig Club and the Jyväskylä Saukot. At that time, the top team swimmers of both clubs had, for several years, been training under one and same coach. Generating from both financial and sports reasons there grew a dream among the coaches to unite the activities of the two clubs. To secure future development, both active club members and coaches made a thorough assessment of the club and training situation, and towards the end of 1999 finally a decision was made to unite the swimming and competition activities of the two clubs. A totally new club by the name Swimming Jyväskylä was founded to continue the training and competition activities of the two former clubs. Jyväskylän Saukot club remained the domicile of water polo and is still strong and active in that field. The goal of this website is to serve former, present and new members as well as friends of swimming and to share information to all who carry interest in swimming sports. You are welcome to join us!
