The XO SEATROUT coastal fly lines are available now at your local Vision Fly Fishing dealer.

Our crew and Pro Team have spent years developing and testing these lines, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. So, what makes these premium coastal lines special?

The XO Seatrout taper is based on our best-selling Vibe 85+ and XO 85 fly lines, but with a slightly longer head (8.8 m) designed specifically for coastal fishing conditions. Our goal was to create a line that loads the rod quickly and delivers effortless casting, because every coastal angler knows that success often means making hundreds of casts during a day on the water.

The XO Seatrout is an extremely versatile coastal fly line that allows you to fish effectively at all distances. It performs equally well when presenting flies accurately close to the shoreline and when reaching fish feeding farther offshore. With an impressive total length of 33 m, we also made sure that those extra-long "all-line-out" casts are well within reach.

Shrimp Tip (WF6, WF7)
Floating body with a 3 m SloMo tip. The unique SloMo tip anchors the line effectively in windy conditions without sinking too quickly, allowing anglers to fish extremely shallow areas with exceptional control, feel, and presentation.

SloMo (WF5-WF8)
Floating running line with a SloMo head.

Fast Intermediate (WF6-WF8)
Floating running line with a Fast Intermediate head.

FI to Sink 3 (WF7-WF8)
Fast Intermediate running line combined with a 6.8 m head featuring a smooth sliding density from Fast Intermediate to Sink 3.

Vision crew spent the last two days of the river season in 🇫🇮.

Most of the time, it was more slow than explosive, but in bursts we were rewarded with some activity once we figured out how to get the fish moving. Hatches were virtually non-existent, so it was mainly baitfish imitations doing the work this time.

Once again, it was proven that the XO85 line delivers streamers like no other, and there are some insanely good streamer and dry-fly rods in the lineup, including the XO III, Onki II, Hero², and Toka series.

But most of all, it was proven once again that there’s no sport quite like fly fishing, and that August nights have a magic all their own.
