As athletes, we push our bodies to the limit to achieve greatness. But today, let’s focus on an even more important aspect of our game: mental health. 💭

We face pressure, stress, and expectations both on and off the field, court, or track. But remember, true strength comes from a balanced mind as well as a strong body.

Here’s how to support your mental health as part of your training routine:

1. Prioritize rest – Just like your muscles, your mind needs time to recover.

2. Speak up – Sharing your struggles doesn't make you weak. It makes you resilient.

3. Stay mindful – Incorporate practices like meditation or journaling to stay centered.

Thank you, PuMa Volley, for an incredible day on the court! Our goal was to build confidence in our spikes and embrace trying new things—and we did just that. We didn’t just learn how to change direction in our spikes, but also how to shift our mindset as athletes.

A huge thank you to all the amazing ladies for your bravery, for taking risks, and for stepping out of your comfort zones with me. Your passion and joy are inspiring. Keep growing, keep pushing, and keep shining! 🌟

Jari Litmanen lasten liikkumattomuudesta.

Into on sitoutunut lisäämään lasten ja nuorten korkealuokkaista, kehittävää ja kilpailutonta liikuntaa!

Nimenomaan harrastuksille, jotka eivät edellytä jokaviikonloppuisia turnausreissuja tai maajoukkueleirejä tai lahjakkuuskartoituksia, on huutava tarve.

Ensimmäisenä on startannut HYROX Youngstars keskiviikkoisin 15:45-16:30. Se on 12-15-vuotiaiden oma liikuntaryhmä, joka jatkuu syyslomaviikkoa lukuunottamatta koko syyskauden ja maksaa alle kymmenen euroa per kerta.

Mukaan ryhmään otetaan jatkuvasti lisää lapsia ja kokeilla saa aina ekan kerran ilmaiseksi. Coachina toimii Virginie ⭐️

As someone involved in researching post-career transitions of athletes, I've seen the immense challenges they face after stepping away from sports.

Much like graduating students or high-powered professionals, retiring athletes often confront feelings of loss and depression.

I participated, "Grief Among Elite Athletes After Ending Their Sports Career," led by Hanne Van Bossele and Liesbet Van Breedam, OLY Liesbet Van Breedam, asks: How can (former) elite athletes be supported in coping with the potential sense of loss associated with ending their sports career?
The goal is to contribute valuable insights and support for athletes, promoting a smooth transition to post-sport life.

Top-level athletes possess discipline, dedication, and excellence—traits that can drive success in other fields.

However, the transition can be daunting without the right support.

To all transitioning athletes: seek support networks and don't hesitate to ask for help.
Your journey is evolving, not ending.

To sports institutions and organizations: consider hiring transitioning athletes.

Their high-pressure experience, teamwork, and leadership are invaluable assets.
By providing opportunities and support, we help these remarkable individuals thrive beyond their athletic careers.
