ASDA ry at the Consortium Meeting – Youth Empowerment Hub

We are pleased to share that ASDA ry (Finland) actively participated in the consortium meeting of our Erasmus+ project: “Youth Empowerment Hub – Digital, Inclusive & Engaged.”

Together with our partners from Germany, Czechia, Poland, and Italy, we reviewed the progress of the project and aligned on the next implementation steps.

We are proud to highlight that:
- Social media platforms are now successfully launched
- The project website design has been approved
- A clear and structured action plan has been presented
- Allplanned activities for this phase have been successfully completed ✅

This project aims to strengthen digital skills, inclusion, and active engagement among young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Successful Implementation of Multiplier Events in Finland – Would You Mind-Set Project

As part of the Would You Mind-Set project, AAR Social Development Association (ASDA) ry successfully implemented a series of multiplier events in Finland, engaging students with migrant backgrounds, teachers with migrant backgrounds, and science and mathematics teachers. These events supported the project’s mission to strengthen academic achievement and motivation among disadvantaged learners through the application of Mindset Theory.

The multiplier events provided an inclusive space for learning, reflection, and exchange of good practices, focusing on how growth mindset approaches can enhance resilience, self-confidence, engagement, and learning outcomes. Special attention was given to multicultural classrooms and STEM education, highlighting practical methods educators can use to support diverse learners and reduce fear of failure in science and mathematics.

These activities directly contributed to the project’s objectives of empowering educators, fostering positive learning attitudes among students, and ensuring the wider dissemination of mindset-enhancing methods through educational communities.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the project coordinator, Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, and to all partner organisations for their strong cooperation and commitment throughout the project. Special thanks go to all students, teachers, and education professionals who actively participated in the multiplier events and shared their experiences and insights. Your engagement played a key role in the success and impact of these activities.

We had development cooperation project planning trip to Delhi, India and had negotiations with several local non-governmental organisations. One of the most interesting meetings was with the Ansakar Foundation, which provides food to more than a thousand people in need every day in Delhi.
The founder of the organisation, Tanisha Bakshi, is a young female artist who finances the organisation's charity work through the sale of her art.
Together with the Ansakar Foundation, we planned a pilot school class for street children, in which best practices from the Finnish education system would be implemented.

We carried out Activity 4 of the NAIS project, a nature-based integration initiative, in Warsaw, Poland.

During the three days, participants tested tools focused on movement, breathing, creativity, and storytelling in nature.

The sessions provided useful feedback that will help us refine the final Nature-Based Integration Toolkit.

The pilot proceeded as planned, and all activities were completed successfully.

Between April 25–27, 2025, we successfully hosted the Kick-Off Meeting for our Erasmus+ project, Nature Connection for Supporting Integration, in Kista, Stockholm, Sweden.

The meeting gathered partners from Sweden, Finland, Poland, and Czechia, marking the start of a collaborative journey to develop a Nature-Based Integration Toolkit to support youth workers in engaging young immigrants aged 16–30.

Over the three days, we:

Discussed and finalized the project’s objectives, timeline, and activities

Shared insights on nature-based methods for integration and community building

Laid the groundwork for the development of practical tools and resources

Strengthened our partnership through open dialogue, planning sessions, and site visits

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the host organization, Somaliska Riksförbundet i Sverige, for their warm hospitality and excellent arrangements, which greatly contributed to the meeting’s success.

This meeting set a positive and inspiring tone for our project, reinforcing our shared commitment to fostering environmental connection, breaking down cultural barriers, and promoting inclusive societies through innovative youth work practices.

We are excited to move forward together and create a meaningful impact!

The HATE-LESS project aspires to dismantle hate speech, disinformation, and entrenched racist narratives by amplifying and making visible diverse counter-narratives.

This EU-funded initiative is dedicated to tackling hate speech, disinformation, and racism while promoting media literacy, diversity, and inclusion.

Through the HATE-LESS Project, we’re empowering youth workers and young people to amplify counter-narratives, challenge harmful assumptions, and create a future where diversity thrives and hate is replaced with understanding.

Final Event of the D.R.E.A.M.LAND Project in Helsinki! 🎉

On December 4, 2024, we successfully conducted the final activity event of the Developing Routes for Europe's future through non-formal Learning with Active Members (D.R.E.A.M.LAND) project in Helsinki, Finland—a milestone moment in our journey toward empowering European youth! 🇪🇺

Supported by the European Commission under the EU ERASMUS-YOUTH-2022-YOUTH-TOG framework, D.R.E.A.M.LAND aimed to cultivate active citizenship, political literacy, and environmental consciousness among young people. With the goal of a carbon-neutral Europe by 2050, we believe that an informed and engaged youth is essential for shaping the future.

Over the course of the project, more than 800 youth leaders have been trained on active citizenship and political participation, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to become decision-makers, policymakers, and change agents in their communities.

The next phase? Sustained action! Young people across Europe are encouraged to take the lead in fostering collaboration, sharing resources, and implementing policies that drive positive change—both socially and environmentally.

A huge thank you to all participants, partners, and stakeholders who contributed to making this initiative a success. Let’s continue working together to empower the next generation and create a greener, more democratic Europe!

The Multiplier Event Workshop for the ECO-FUTURE project was conducted on August 15, 2024. This event was part of our initiative to raise awareness and promote understanding of circular economy principles among educators and stakeholders. It provided an opportunity to showcase the project’s objectives, activities, and results to a wider audience, focusing on the significance of sustainable practices in education and beyond.

The primary objectives of the Multiplier Event Workshop were:

To disseminate and promote the ECO-FUTURE project results.

To raise awareness among teachers, special educators, educational assistants, and stakeholders regarding the importance of a circular economy.

To inspire stakeholders and educational professionals to integrate sustainable practices into their teaching methodologies and daily activities.

To lay a foundation for sustainable practices among younger generations by educating and equipping the teachers and educational support staff who guide them.

During the workshop, we presented a two-year project and discussed the outcomes achieved. We highlighted the promotion of social cohesion, care for common goods, and encouraged social activism by sharing information about the ECOFUTURE project and its results.

The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about sustainability and the circular economy, while also acknowledging EU funding and promoting Erasmus+.
