HSS Classic Yacht Committee These photos say it all: we sail, preserve, remember, and pass it on. Every generation deserves its turn at the helm. Helsingfors Segelsällskap r.f.

(HSS) has one of the largest fleet of classic yachts in the Nordics. Our wish is to celebrate, support and promote classic yacht sailing, racing and restoration. We work in close cooperation with yacht clubs and classic yacht societies in Finland and worldwide. We endeavour to maintain our cultural and sailing heritage and hope to see classic yacht racing continually thriving in our waters. The la

rgest contingency of the classic fleet consists of the International Rule classes. The club has a large fleet of 8 Metre, 6 Metre, 5.5 Metre and international 5 Metre boats. Skerry cruisers, Nordic Folkboats, Classic Dragons, Hai boats and classic Cruising yachts are also well represented. The HSS classics are organized within the HSS Classic Yacht Committee (C*C) and other smaller events. The annual international HSS Classic Yacht Symposium is organized by HSS C*C in collaboration with a dozen yacht clubs in Finland. HSS also organizes a major Classic Regatta - the "Champangne regatta" - annually in August.

Adelfe (FIN-111) will participate in the HSS 133 Years Champagne Regatta - Baltic Classic Masters on 22-23 August. She is a Swan 36, built by Nautor 1967 but left the boatyard semifinished with the hull no.002. She was finally not launched until some twenty years later, in 1990. Therefore Adelfe is the second Swan ever build and the last S&S Swan launched. She is skippered by Simopetteri Muuronen.

Sterna (S-100) has just registered at the HSS 133 Years Champagne Regatta - Baltic Classic Masters 22-23 August. This iconic 53-foot Swan, designed by Germán Frers, was built by Nautor Swan in Finland in 1988.

Over the years, Sterna has raced across the world's oceans, most recently completing a circumnavigation in the Ocean Globe Race 2023–2024. In 2025, she was purchased by Lassi Tolonen and Johanna Tudéer, who sailed her back to Finland.

Today, Sterna is a proud member of the growing fleet of classic Swans at HSS.

The first Dragon to register for the HSS 133 Years Champagne Regatta - Baltic Classic Masters, is Bouboulina II (not in picture).

Skipper Petri Vuorjoki, crew Matti Pentti and Sigfrid Karlsson.

The Dragons have a major season with the Europeans sailed three weeks prior to the regatta.
