⭐️Finnish Championships 2026 ⭐️

Both of us participated in the Finnish Championships couple of weeks ago in Ypäjä. There has been a lot going on in the spring and early summer and preparations were sometimes a bit of a struggle, but we made it and are happy with the results!

Gummi and Svali made solid programs in fivegait and went for T1 and PP1 too, earning a bronze medal in Fivegait combination and a silver medal in F1, topped with the Good and Harmonious prize - yet again 🪶

Pilvi and Draumur performed their highest scores so far in T1 and V1 with neat performances ending around the middle of the result list, and were content with their development this season. It has been a few years' break in competing and now they have a good base to continue towards next year!

A big thank you to the part-owners of our lovely horses: Asko-Pekka & Kirsi Kettunen and Päivi Pylkkö! We are hoping to make you proud!❤️

The first part of this year has just flown by! Apart from a slow January, work has kept us busy with teaching and courses and training places have been full all spring. Several youngsters have been returned to their owners to start their riding careers and some older horses and their owners have gotten help in their journey to make the hobby safe and enjoyable. Always a pleasure to be able to help in these significant moments 😊

At the beginning of summer there are a couple of training places available for grown horses, so if you would like some help with your horse, call or message us and let's make a plan how we can best help!

The Finnish Championships in Icelandic horses were ridden a couple of weeks ago in Ypäjä, where Gummi and Svali participated in F1 and PP1. Even if the results were not so high yet and the lack of routine is obvious, Svali was a model student, tried his best and we are overall very happy with what this young horse is promising for the future! The young, unexperienced horses need to get their time to develop and there is no pushing them for results. Their time will come and this was a good step in the bigger picture, building up what hopefully will be a long, successful journey for the horse in future competitions.

We are proud to say that that attitude shows in the riding enough for the judges to yet again reward Gummi for Good and Harmonious riding out of all senior riders in the tournament. Thank you for that, we are honoured 🙏

This little guy was born almost two weeks ago! 🥰
He's strong and full of life and determination, very curious and trusting, shows a lot of tölt but mainly likes to do all imaginable variations of canter along with some happy bucks and kangaroo hops. I think we're yet to be in trouble with him 😂💙
The parents are Fiðrildi frá Hennum and Höskulður frá Lian and we the proud breeders and owners.

The name of this firecracker will be Fleygur, the flying one 🦄 Following his seeming temperament and the theme of mother Fiðrildi, butterfly, and sister Fluga, flying insect, who we also own. 🦋
(Flugar is also still an option, you may cast a vote again 😇)

This adorable princess was born last wednesday to delight us! 😍 She seems like a delicate but brave little thing and has stolen our hearts already 🥰

The mother is Trú frá Skáney, amazing and kind pace mare we have been trusted to borrow from , and father Höskulður frá Lian, handsome white prince from . We are very happy with this combination! 🦄

The name of this little princess is still undecided between a few options: Hamingja or Lukka, following the theme of her mother Trú and sister Gleði, or simply Líf. What would be your choice?

Last weekend we participated in WR-competition in Ypäjä. We are very honoured that Gummi got rewarded for Good and Harmonious riding in the tournament! The judges saw his attempt to help young Svali through his first fivegait program without putting too much pressure and wanted to reward good horsemanship and neat, considerate riding although the result was not on the top of the list. It felt good that it was noted and truly what he was trying to do 🙏
