Today I close one of the most important chapters of my sporting life.
After almost 16 years as part of the Spanish National Para-Badminton Team’s coaching staff, the time has come to say goodbye.
It has been a very carefully considered decision. Sad, because I’m leaving behind people who have been a part of my life for many years. But also happy, because I leave with a clear conscience, a full heart, and a wealth of experiences I will never forget.
I want to thank those who trusted me to be part of this exciting project.
To David Cabello and Carmen Martínez, for opening doors for me in that first stage and allowing me to begin this wonderful journey.
To Miguel Ángel Polo, for once again placing his trust in me in this final stage and giving me the opportunity to continue contributing my work and passion.
To and , for their trust and support throughout all these years.
And above all, thank you to all the players I’ve been incredibly lucky to work with. Some of you arrived very young, and I’ve had the privilege of accompanying you on your journey, both as athletes and as individuals. You have always been the true meaning of this journey.
I also want to remember everyone who has been part of the team over these years: coaches, physiotherapists, classifiers, support staff, referees, and fellow travelers. You have all left a mark on me.
And a very special mention for my partner in so many adventures, my little sister . Thank you for sharing so many kilometers, so many training camps, so many joys, and so many moments that will forever remain in my memory. It has been a true privilege to walk this path with you.
Everything has a beginning… and everything has an end.
Today my time with Spanish Para-badminton comes to an end, but the pride of having been a part of its history will never end.
Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
