Valencia Experience from the Staff’s Point of View 🇪🇸
🎙️Coach Gabor
It was an amazing week in a truly top level environment. I strongly believe it’s extremely important to gain these kinds of experiences from a young age. One of the most crucial aspects of elite football is adaptation, how quickly you can show your best performance in a new environment, in a different country, with new people around you.
Building relationships and connections in multiple places can also play a key role in your future. Competing against top level opposition like Valencia CF gives players honest feedback on where they stand and what they need to improve. At the same time, it’s a great opportunity to showcase your abilities in front of the Valencia CF Academy staff. This year, more than 15 staff members from the club watched our games, which is a very positive sign.
These two weeks clearly showed how much our relationship with the club and its staff has grown, not only because of what the players did on the pitch, but also how they behaved and represented themselves both on and off the field.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the past few years is this: you can be a good player or a good coach, but what really matters is who knows it and at what level you are being compared. The football world is huge, everyone wants to reach the top, and the competition is incredibly high.
That’s why experiences like this matter so much.

One week at a Spanish youth academy
Although this wasn’t my first time spending a week at a Spanish youth academy, this experience felt different. This time, my focus was on our young players to observing how they reacted when pushed outside their comfort zones. I closely followed their adaptation to a new rhythm, environment, language and coaching mindset.
Overall, this experience once again confirmed how valuable international programs like this, are not only for football development, but also for personality growth, independence, and adaptability, offering impulses that cannot be replicated at home.

I had the opportunity to spend a week at the Valencia C.F. Academy, gaining insight into the club’s daily professional work and youth development philosophy. Through presentations, training sessions, friendly matches, and a Spanish U17 first division league game, I experienced the outstanding intensity, speed of play, technical quality, and dynamic movement that define Valencia’s football identity.
These carefully structured playing principles and intensity demands were consistently present across all age groups from the youngest teams to Valencia C.F. Mestalla, led by Angulo reflecting a unified and highly professional academy system. The inspiring environment clearly aims to develop players for the top international level from an early age.
I would like to thank Gabor for the opportunity and the professional journey, which greatly contributed to my personal development and provided invaluable experience.
🎙️Coach Sandor
I spent highly motivating and valuable days in Valencia, gaining insight into the academy of one of Spain’s most historic clubs. Throughout the week, I observed high quality trainings and matches that clearly reflected the academy’s core playing principles, combined with an impressively high level of intensity.
Being involved in friendly matches from the bench was a new and valuable experience for me as a scout, allowing me to observe players’ reactions and adaptability in real game situations. The vision and mindset of the local professionals had a strong impact on me, especially their ability to identify players’ strengths and develop them through simple but clear principles, with a strong emphasis on physicality across all levels.
Overall, it was an outstanding professional experience in a truly inspiring and elite environment. Special thanks to Dinamo Star SE & AG ProSport Global for providing one of the most significant milestones in my professional development.
