The Society held its first competition back at La Torre after the course had been closed for maintenance. As expected, the greens were very slow, making for an interesting challenge!

Sixteen of our members proudly represented the society in the GNK League at Hacienda Riquelme, with a shotgun start at 8:30am.

🏌️‍♂️ Great results for both teams: ✅ La Torre 1 defeated Hacienda del Álamo by 44.5 points to 35.5. ✅ La Torre 2 edged out the GF Society by the narrowest of margins, winning 40.5 points to 39.5.

After two matches, La Torre 1 sits proudly at the top of the division table, with three matches still to play.

A huge thank you to all the players for representing the society so well. Your commitment and team spirit are greatly appreciated. Keep up the fantastic work! 👏🏆

The Society enjoyed a fantastic Away Day at Lo Romero, where the course was in excellent condition and the weather was perfect, with sunshine and a gentle breeze throughout the day.

There were some impressive scores recorded, with John Paton taking the overall honours with an excellent 40 points. Congratulations, John!

It was perfect weather for Monday’s Stableford at El Valle, although it got a little warm on the back nine. Conditions were ideal, and the good scores reflected that.

Congratulations to Kevin Millward, who took first place with an excellent 41 points.

A special mention also goes to Omid Nabbey, who finished second but produced some outstanding golf with a gross 70 — one under par for the course. A fantastic round and a great achievement.

With La Torre closed for its annual maintenance, the Society held its Saturday competition at Hacienda Riquelme.

Congratulations to Karen Reed, who emerged victorious after a closely fought battle on countback, with four players all finishing on 35 points.

A cooler, cloudier day greeted the players for Wednesday’s Stableford at Hacienda Riquelme. Following the course’s recent annual maintenance, the fairways were looking lush and green, while the greens were a little slower than usual.

Despite the conditions, scoring remained impressive. Congratulations to Rob Veitch, who took top spot with an excellent 38 points. Playing off a handicap of 2, Rob’s score equated to a level gross round – a superb achievement.
