ROLL UP - "This exercise strengthens the abdominal muscles, and restores the spine to normal".
The roll up is one of the classic Pilates mat exercises. ... It has been said that one Pilates roll up is equal to six regular sit-ups and is much better than crunches for creating a flat stomach. Roll up is traditionally done after the hundred and is followed by the roll over.
*Start lying, arms over head
* Breathe in arms to ceiling
* Breathe out, tuck chin roll up
* Breathe in Relax over legs, feet flexed
* Breathe out lower down

Aim for 5

Keep in mind, it is easier to roll down than it is to roll up. Need a little help, try one of these

*On the way up, place your hands under the small of your back, and use your arms to help you up.

*Place hands under knees.

*You could also use a band to add some help.

*I have also been known to use a cable machine in the main gym floor area!!!

Hello Ladies,
I few of you have messaged me to say you have found a new room, called "The Scales"...... please forget that room for a while, just take some time to do 30 minutes of active movement a day; walk, dance, skip, run, boogie, gardening, housework, stretching, pilates, yoga, cycle, swim - just need 30 minutes a day.

This is such an important distinction

Your body fat amount doesn’t define you

The scales don’t measure your beauty, intelligence, compassion, generosity, graciousness and love

Some people may want to lower their body fat amount for a variety of reasons

Understanding that you are an amazing person no matter your size may just help you reduce your fat stores

Hey Morning
Below is a flow and stretch video, moving in and out of Pilate's moves. Remember to warm up first.
If new or a beginner just try the moves on their own. Just focus on one and try and repeat 5 times, building to 10 times.
For my regulars, there us a new move in here, only try the parts you have already dine in class today & build up to the one leg side balance.

Lift One Leg if you a regular plank guru...
Lift and Bend leg if advanced....ops....not a good example video but hey we all need to practice ###x
