What an incredible weekend Emilio has had at the opening round of the FAB Racing Championship !

He’s running in two classes this season.

The Mini GP 50 class & Mini GP 50R class which is the metrakit 50 up against the Ohvale 160’s

Emilio put himself on Pole Position in both qualifying categories 🚀💪🏽

He had 6 races in total

Started from P2 off the line but It’s never going to go your way when setting off from the lights on a 2 stroke 50cc against the 160 4 strokes but he quickly gained the positions back else where 👏🏽💪🏽

Race report 🏁

British Mini Bikes Championship Teesside round 2

160/50 class

Qualified - 2nd 🥈 .. in Q1 I maybe dropped the ball a little, I pulled Emilio in on lap 3 after getting a 1.15 and didn’t want anyone to get a tow off him.
In Q2 I said just go enjoy yourself and not to push. He lost out on pole by just under 2 tenths.

Race 1 - 2nd 🥈.. It decided to hail stone on the way to the line, most kids had wets on, we stuck with black fire R’s and obviously it was too late to change, he done well to navigate the tricky conditions, especially the sections where there was spray off the tires!
Great result

Race 2 - 2nd 🥈 .. we left the black fire R’s on incase it hailed stoned again unexpectedly 😂 it was great track conditions but unfortunately Emilio didn’t get off the line quick enough against the 4 strokes. He lost nearly 5 seconds to the leader by the time he got past eveyone and into 2nd and it was too late to try catch up. He rode smart and come across the line in P2

Overall 2nd place - a great weekend, navigating tricky conditions.
