Here we to show you the ACTIVE toolkit for coaches and Youth in Sports!🤩
What it is meant to do?🤔
The ACTIVE toolkit is meant to be used by individuals training current and future physical education teachers or coaches and young athletes. This toolkit promote interest and engagement in European Youth Goals and future EU youth policies among less active youth and youth at risk of marginalization and discrimination!
The toolkit provides interactive activities and good practice examples to promote inclusive and sustainable grassroots sports activities!💪

The day started with an inclusive dance session from Dança Mais at the municipal cultural centre of the city of Portimao, followed by several speeches between local policy makers and the partners involved in the project! 💪

Another kind of sport is possible, accessible, inclusive and sustainable we need to be active and team up to change things! The Erasmus Active project ends but our commitment to sport and society continues! 😉

While preparing for next week's good practices from sports organisations and federations we want to share some inspiring projects with you! What about the Green Play project?🤔

The Green Play project aims to promote positive educational values in team and individual grassroots sports among children and youth, based on the successful experience of CEBLLOB using the “Juga Verd Play” methodology.💪
The basic premise of the project is that in order to educate in values, the goal of getting more points than the adversary cannot be the only condition to win the game; values and civic behaviour should count as well.😉

In this sense, another unique characteristic of the project is the integration of all the target groups that participate in competitions in the assessing process.
These new ideas have been inspired by international best practices collected in this Guidebook, which features insightful inspirational initiatives to promote fairness in sports from all over the world. 🌍

Roberto Clemente is one of the greatest baseball players of all-time.

During the offseason, Clemente made it a tradition to do humanitarian and volunteer work in Caribbean countries that needed it most. Whether it was delivering baseball equipment to inspire younger generations or delivering food to those in need, Clemente was always ready to help💪

Clemente would’ve achieved much more in his life if he hadn’t passed away during the 1972 offseason. He was involved in a plane crash. It was a tragedy then and it’s a tragedy today, but he remains a role model to look up to!🔝

Sandeep Singh is an Indian field hockey player that some people might recognize if they’ve seen the 2018 biographical film Soorma. Field hockey might not be the most popular sport today, but his story will live on forever.💪

Between 2004 and 2006, Singh was making a name for himself with India’s national team, but his career came to a screeching halt after he was hit by an accidental gunshot in August of 2006.

Singh was nearly paralyzed and spent a year of his life in a wheelchair, but eventually worked his way back to field hockey. By 2008, he was the top scorer of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup!🔝
He continues to play to this day, is a former captain, and has even embarked on a political career! What an inspiration!🤩

Once, a young school boy was caught in a fire accident in his school and was assumed that he would not live

But the brave boy did not want to die. His determination to walk was indomitable and his persistence finally paid off. He began to walk to school, then run to school, later in college he made the track team, where he was welcomed but at the same time feared because of his capabilities!🏃‍♂️

In February 1934, in New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden, this young man who was not expected to survive, who would surely never walk, who could never hope to run – this determined young man, Dr. Glenn Cunningham, ran the world’s fastest mile. A true success story we should all be inspired from!💪
