Thanks, Valencia!
What an awesome experience — especially for our new guys transitioning from mixed lacrosse to the full-contact men’s game.
For Barcelona Lacrosse, a day of firsts on many levels:
✅ A first for many playing men’s lacrosse
✅ A first time playing in the Sixes format
✅ A first facing off against this new generation of Valencia Eagles
The result?
A tough, hard-fought match with back-and-forth action — both sides earning each other’s respect.
It felt like the start of a new chapter for both clubs.
Valencia — with a majority of young players learning the game and showing plenty of potential. It’s led by 2 senior players in Luis and Javi, who were brilliant.
Barcelona — grooming its players for men’s lacrosse and adapting to the Sixes format.
This friendly also marked a rekindling of the relationship between the two clubs — one that had nearly faded during a seven-year hiatus. We hope this will be the first of many friendlies where we can connect, compete, improve, and grow together.
The future looks bright. 🌟
